Holy smokes what a game. I've been very indifferent about the NBA in general since the suns were eliminated but this has been a whale of a game. I haven't seen Rose play a whole lot but man, he's got some game. Him and Rondo are dueling like it's the wild west!

Pierce with a freethrow to win it and he bricks it and goes to overtime.

Almost 40/10/5 for Rose in his first playoff game against probably the best defender at his position.

Don't you wish we had a young PG like that instead of Nash? : (

Or Rondo? Who wasn't good enough for Mike D'Antoni.

Rose would have scored 50 vs. Suns, and fouled out Chandler, Camby, Duncan all in one game, against Nash at the PG!

I love it. All the experts who said the Bulls did not have a chance even with KG not playing can eat it.

And all our message board experts who said that guys like Noah or Ty. Thomas were terrible can eat it too, I guess. If Shaq were to be traded, I'd take any of them over Chandler.

Thomas and Noah are going no where unless it involved a trade from Bosh. I am glad that Amare was not traded to the Bulls now. Thomas is a great defensive player and starting to add a decent jump shot.

You are glad Amare wasn't traded to your Bulls team for a 10/6 player and a draftpick?

Wow, I am glad we didn't trade Amare for the career role player that Tyrus Thomas is either.
You know it is sad when people get excited about a 3rd year player picked at #4 averaging 12/7 in 32mpg for a couple of months.

Why are you attacking me? Are you bitter about something? By the way, when Tyrus was 12 he knew how to play defense better than Amare.

I don't see any Suns on that picture. Where is Nash and Amare? Go be bitter in another thread, this is the Bulls vs. Celtics thread.

Back to Rose...

I think the most impressive thing about him was his poise. He singlehandedly stemmed the Boston run in the 3rd quarter with a variety of ways. Jumpshots, drives to the basket, dropping dimes off to his bigs... that was damned impressive for a seasoned veteran, nevermind a first year PG, in the playoffs, on the road.

I think I'm developing a man-crush...

36 pts, 11 assists in your first playoff game ever , as a ROOKIE, against a supposed defensive stalwart. Oh yeah you win the game on the road against the defending champs too. I know the Celts are without Garnett but still gotta give it up to the kid. The NBA has so much young talent its getting ridiculous. Rose and Paul will be best point guards for next 10 yrs.

That and the Blazers fans not willing to trade their young athletic role players like Batum, Rudy, or Bayless for Nash.

These fans will get an awakening soon after their respective 1st round exit, despite Bulls stealing one from Boston. Once Celts find a way to shut down and/or contain Rose, which they will, like Rockets did to Roy, they will find out role players ain't getting you nowhere. They will better appreciate the ability to score by Amare and/or Nash on such a team.;)

Amare is injured, otherwise the Suns would've made the playoffs. You seem to either be suggesting that the Bulls have a bunch of league-leaders, which is dumb since that is counting stats from four games between 8 times on one day. Or you are trying to say that the Bulls are somehow better than the Suns because they are in the playoffs while the Suns are not. Please don't forget that the Bulls won 5 fewer games than the Suns this season.

I'm with you on this slin, Thomas has habit of putting up one good game, and then disappearing for the next three or four games.....

Please don't forget the Bulls swept the Suns this year, so yes, according to that stat, the Bulls are better.

Game 2
End of the first quarter
Bulls 29
Celtics 35
Rondo with 9 points
Glenn Davis with 12 points

Boston is pounding Chicago on the offensive glass.

Rondo gets hurt and the bulls jump all over the Celtics.
Marbury and House play at the PG was shaky at best.

Wow.. what an ending. Ray Allen hits the prayer to keep the Celtics from a 0-2 hole. Too bad the Bulls didn't do a better job managing their time outs, they didn't really get to try and answer.

Nice shot by Allen, but now it goes back to Chicago. Go Bulls!
