Amare isn't walking for free. It will be a sign and trade.

Heck at this point I would take David Lee + young talent for Amare.

Yeah the "soft guy" and the "*****" kicked Amare's ass in rebounding.

But it isn't Amare's fault, I mean he had to play center...

Oh wait....

Gasol had 7,9,9,5,9,4 rebounds and is a good 3 inches taller than Amare and plays next to another 7 footer or 6'11 guy.

Not exactly like Gasol tore it up on the boards either.

No thanks David Lee is barely younger than Amare and doesn't make us better. Don't waste our cap flexibility on someone like that for a quick fix.

You get Bosh or Dirk to replace Amare and you can maybe still compete next year, if you don't REBUILD.

Looked like Nash was crying in the locker-room. Poor guy, he should be proud though. They had one hell of a season

Lack of size is the key to our loss.

If you expect Amare to dominate the boards when he is forced on the perimeter on offense and playing zone defense against two 7 footers you have delusional expectations.

We knew coming into the series that the Lakers size would trouble us. A Portland team without Roy troubled us with their size. San Antonio doesn't have the size and we swept them.

Now it is time to rebuild completely unless we can sign Dirk to replace Amare which would mean losing Frye and Amare most likely.

You seriously don't believe this do you?

Dirk isnt going anywhere and bosh ARGUABLY makes us better at a ton more money. Not to mention the dude misses 20 games a season.

David Lee is a 20+ PPG guy with Chris Duhon passing to him, and one of the best rebounders in the league. I also think he would compliment our core attitude wise, and he'll be younger and cheaper than Dirk. Last thing I heard about his contract status, he was asking for 12 mil a year, and the Knicks balked. You got to take 21 and 11 for 12 mil.

Size has something to do it but rebounding is more about desire, aggresiveness, and positioning. Barkley was not too tall and was a board monster. Marion was our leading rebounder. Dennis Rodman was not very tall but we all know about his rebounding. At times it feels Amare doesn't even try.

I was talking about Channing Frye.

Why don't you put up Odom's rebounding against Amare ;)

Too little too late from the Suns. 1 good quarter doesn't outweigh the crapfest of the 1st few 3 quarters.

We should have kept the bench in late in the 4th quarter.

A very dissapointing end to a great season much like the Cards last season.

Cya in Miami Amare.

Jordan Farmer got 5 rebounds in this game... Amare never don the purple and orange again. Go get your max contract and disappear.

David Lee is also an even worse defender than Amare and smaller than Amare.

Plus New York plays at an incredible no defense D'Antoni pace inflating Lee's stats.

We need to get bigger not smaller. You think David Lee would dominate the boards against Gasol/Bynum/Odom?

Get Dirk or get nobody. Dirk is better than Gasol and as big or bigger. Plus Dirk can post up or play on the perimeter. You can run your offense through Dirk. David Lee still makes us a gimmick team with no size and no post-up game.

LMAO

"Little" David Lee had 17 rebounds against those guys the last time they played. Let me find the first game.

Wow he had 31 points too.

because lee is a 6'9 PF playing center in the infamous dont foul dantoni defense? Whose eyes you tryin to pull the stache over? The reason Lees scoring avg went up does have to do with the system but hes also added a midrange jumper as well. bring in lee.

1 game dude in the regular season means nothing. Amare also had 29/16 against them in the regular season.

You are freaking delusional. Try to be objective at some point, sore loser.

David Lee plays just as bad defense as Amare does. As for the D'Antoni inflation effect, I think we've seen that that only applies to some players. We don't need him to score 20 a game. He's got enough skill to at least average above 17 a game here. As far as size goes, Amare is really only 6'9" so that's a wash. He's also cheaper.

And yes David Lee would be killing it on the boards against the lakers. This season he average 12 rebounds a game against them, above his season average.

Amare has never really had an authentic post up game. The guy plays like an oversized two guard; he always faces up and drives, rather than post a guy up and hook shot over him.

ODM, I was sitting here wondering if Amare is 3 point shot from being a 3.

You all have a great night. I am sad we lost but I feel we are headed in the right direction.

Because THAT is the Suns system.

How is that the Suns system? Facin up iso takes just as much time off the clock and requires no ball movement no more than a post up game requires, it just leads to more contested shots.

4 rebounds... back to back... in the two biggest games of the year. LOL.

And good lord did he look like a ***** when the game wsa actually still doubt and he was going soft as charmin to the hoop.

Any team who doesn't ALREADY have their MAX player and signs Amare to be theirs is a team that will be mired in mediocrity forever. I don't want to be the Atlanta Hawks.

So long Stat.

Pau Gasol had an awful game and Bynum after the 1st quarter was nowhere to be seen. It was the perfect opportunity for Amare and he did NOTHING.

I wouldn't say Gasol had an awful game. He helped to stop Amare. We went to Amare all night. The strategy in itself was sound. Amare could get past his man at will. But credit Lakers for great defensive help under basket which forced Amare often too deep under it, swarmed by 3 defenders. A player like West or Boozer would have pump faked and scored more, only they wouldn't have been able to beat Gasol like Amare did. In fact, when they doubled Amare too early to force him pass, those passing outs ended with Suns easy scores each time. Thus, they rather gave him the drive to basket, which was taking a chance, but Amare was too tight in the early going. He was kind of hesitant to take the jumpers.

Only in the fourth, and in every 4th q this series, Laker players seemed tired and couldn't converge to triple team Amare as quickly.
