I find poor choice meals come from either hunger or lack of planning (or both). We are all so busy, so, sometimes, meal planning is not a priority. I really think (for me, at least) this causes poor nutrition and failure in weight/health goals.

So, here is a thread for your poor choice meals. Feel free to ridicule (in a supportive and caring way) the posts here.

I'll start. Went to Subway this morning hoping to grab a healthy breakfast sandwich. I was there 1o minutes before they open and couldn't wait. Set the tone for my day. Booo.

Breakfast: Green tea, hard boiled egg (not horrible)
Lunch: Coke zeo, barbecue chips (danger!)
Snack: cheese puffs (damn you, classroom reinforcers!)
Kinda dinner: small fry, cheeseburger sans meat, diet soda from McDonalds
After work: fries at my sister's birthday happy hour, plus two IPAs

So freaking disappointed!!! I feel like (and know) I had NOTHING of substance. Errrr. Poor choice meals all around (except for breakfast). Next?

Well, I had to google IPA and Coke Zeo before I realized just how bad your meal choices were. I'm of the opinion that you can't do your body much more harm than giving it a diet soda but I suspect you already know that. I would say that you should just forget about that day and start anew the next. As for poor meal choices, those condescending jerks who told us to plan out our meals at least a day in advance were correct. It's pretty much the only way to avoid (or limit) our Cheesy Puff days. Today, for example, I plan on making your yesterday look good.;)

My issue is when I've had a long and crappy day and the last thing I want to do is cook. I will hit up a fast food place in a heart-beat (hello, Taco Bell!).

Last night I ate 4 slices of pizza with some chicken strips and ranch dipping sauce. Well, at least it was cheese pizza. Pizza and mexican food are my cryptonite. I usually don't hold back when eating it.

I will say that eating the single serve packets of Quaker instant oatmeal for breakfast is one of the smartest things I can do. It fills me up, gives me energy till lunch and is only 160 calories. And they are cheep too.

If it wasn't so delicious, pizza would me mine. That and Mexican food.

But, what I try to do is mix in meals that are less healthy in between meals that are healthy. At the very least I try to mix in as many vegetables whenever possible, unless I am craving meat (or haven't had it in while).

Ice cream sundae. For dinner. By itself.

Chimichangas: Sure, I could have a burrito, which still isn't healthy, but why not double-down and have that sucker deep-fried?

Opting for soda at the fountain when iced tea is brewed and ready to go right next to it (and I love iced tea).

Sometimes I identify the wrong choice and still do it anyway. I try to limit those instances to special treats, but I also find one bad choice often leads to another.

I hear ya. Those kinda days, combined with lack of sleep, really throw me off.

LOL.

Ice cream sundaes. Yum. Haven't had one of those in a while. Sounds like a perfect plan for tonight's dinner. :p

I'm typically not a big desert guy...and have never really been a crazy ice-cream lover. HOWEVER, I was recently introduced to Sweet Republic, and, well... I'm in serious trouble now!! If you are into sundaes, you seriously need to check this place out. Absolutely the best ice cream I have ever had!!

I usually eat pretty healthy. My favorite foods are fresh fruit and vegetables and salad, and my favorite restaurant is SouperSalad.

But one thing that gets me is White Castle frozen cheeseburger sliders.

I've never been to a White Castle, but for frozen crap they turn out OK.

Vegas, baby, yeah!
I had a slice of cake, a bowl of fritos, and strawberries for dinner.

Had fritos for lunch yesterday. Solid poor choice.

Not me. I was great yesterday for lunch. I had two cups of a 13 bean soup - low sodium, no added fats and plenty of fiber. As a matter of fact, I'm pretty sure they would have erected a statue of me in honor of my lunch choice yesterday if it hadn't been for the 2 Egg McMuffins, 2 Hash Browns plus pancakes that I'd had for breakfast earlier that day.

First time I ever went to SouperSalad was with you, SweetD and, hmmm, who else? Can't remember.

I'm getting a colonoscopy tomorrow and it will be 36 hours between meals. I'm already planning ahead for my poor choice meal. Two whoppers will be mine!!!
