I think you have to have 100 posts first.

They both left without offers? WTH?
Ugh. Don't like that, but consider that there were reports that Graves has been courting them BEFORE their visit for at least the past week. There seems to be an open line of communication, but we got to get it on ink. Collegiality doesn't get you stops on 4th and inches....
Yeah, it could take days before that next stage coach get to the state in which the agents reside!Just because the players said they havent recieved an offer yet doesnt mean their agents havent recieved an offer yet. Agent may not even be in the same state.

The Cardinals' interest in free-agent pass-rusher Joey Porter hinges in part on whether the team feels comfortable with his ability to assimilate a strong personality into the locker room.
Coach Ken Whisenhunt made that clear during his recent interview with XTRA910 radio. He pointed to Bryan Robinson and Kurt Warner as veteran players secure enough in their own careers to help develop younger players. The team would want Porter or any veteran to embrace that style as the team develops young outside linebackers Will Davis and Cody Brown.
"I think you have to be very clear about this process when you bring a guy in like that," Whisenhunt told XTRA910. "You have to make sure they understand what the expectations are for them not only as a player but as a leader."
Porter has apparently gotten the message.
"I feel like I can fill the need for what they are looking for as far as an outside linebacker and that I can bring that whole presence of making sure I get to the quarterback," Porter told reporters during his visit to Cardinals headquarters. "Doing my job, but not trying to step on anybody's toes, just doing my job and helping them get back on the track that they want to go on."
The part about not stepping on toes was important. Porter's reputation for bravado and bluster can be a positive if channeled in the context of team.
Well, they could use the telegraph...
Rod Graves, this has disaster written all over it, with your name.. You should'nt have let them leave without a contract signed in hand!!

As the Cardinals continue the free-agent parade at the complex — QB Derek Anderson and LB Paris Lenon are visiting today — I know everyone is waiting for signings (besides Rex Hadnot, which will be official today). Here’s how I handicap the “big two” of Joey Porter and Larry Foote. Foote, I would suspect, would come quicker. To start, he sounds more determined to make the Cardinals his next team (not that Porter didn’t, but I think everyone could tell the difference). Porter is a bit older and knows this is probably his last significant contract, so he’s not going to settle and — unless he’s straight money-whipped, and I don’t see the Cards bidding against themselves — he’s going to look around and see if he can drive up the market.
I’m looking to the side of my screen here and see I have 50 comments to approve from last night, and I am guessing a chunk of them will be browbeating the team to pay Porter whatever it takes to get him in. We all know it doesn’t work like that, nor should it.
Speaking of linebackers, Lenon’s background puts him in the depth/special teams category I would guess.
Mike Lombardi, on the NFL Network, reports that Porter is looking for $6M per year. He adds that there are no takers at that price. So, we wait for the price to come down.
(I had suggested in an earlier post that his agent would probably start there, and Graves would initially say something north of $3.8 million. There is half way point to be found - IMO)
I don't see why we cannot go $5M, we gave that to both Okeafor and Berry, unless he is stuck on the $6M. A starting spot and $5M should be enough to seal the deal. Goes back to someone who mentioned Porter might be viewing this as his last chance for a payday. It will come down to us and SF with the highest bidder winning his services.
