I'm amazed by how many people think we'll be a better road team than home team. Why build a stadium if you can't win there more?

Here is how I picked the Road games:

No way we win in Seattle

The Falcons are way overrated. Clancy knows how to stop Vick.

Ther Raiders and Packers are teams in disarray.

The Vikings powerful offense has been completely disassmebled and their defense is still a question mark.

The Rams and 49ers are still in rebuilding mode.

The Chargers will be solid assuming Rivers picks up where Brees left off.

I think that going 6-2 on the road is very possible.

There is no such thing as a gimme in the NFL. We start thinking that way and we could be staring at 6-10.

9-7

I think the key games for a successful season are the home games against KC and da Bears. One potent offense and the other a stingy defense. Winning these two games will do a lot for the psyche of the team. These are home games and we should have a favorable home-court advantage to drown out the opposing teams. In my earlier post, I had CARDS at 9-7 while losing these two games. This will be the turning point of the season.

1. we are an awful road team
2. we have major question marks in the offensive line
3. We couldnt stop the run the last two years
4. Worst red zone offense in football
5. Horrific special teams play

I dont want to believe it, but it is how I see it. I stated on this board two years ago that if the cards cant run or stop the run they wont get very far. I am hoping against hope that they will be able to now, but history is aginst it my friend!

I cant pump up this team until they show me something! You'd be wise to follow that lead yourselves.

These type results occurred in 1966, 1977, 1988 and 1999. I'm glad its not 2011.

Check my post again. It said "Few of these games are a gimme." Other posters have several of our games chalked up as a"given" loss already. What I'm saying is that there's no reason to give up and assume a loss on any game. The players better the hell not. Why shouldn't we think we can win all our home games? Why shouldn't we think we can pound the crap of some hyped team on the road?

Because when have we ever shown that we can?? Our history on the road is pathetic. We beat a pathetic 49ers and rams team....then get handed by a pathetic Texan team.

I still see a bunch of holes on the roster, and there is always still that questionable game management our coach is known for. I said 8-8....but 6-10 would surprise me less than 10-6. I need to see something from this team.

And grammatically, "few of these games are a gimme" still sounds like you are chalking up Ws.

No way KC beats us at home, given when we play them in the schedule....and we will win at Seattle. Atlanta doesn't scare and neither the Bears.

That's about as far as I'm willing to go until the bye.

St. Louis is a team that will surprise many.....not saying that they will end up ahead of us at the end of the year, but......watch them closely.

Sep. 10 SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS - First game in a new stadium against a powder puff team. This better be a win or the season will be very very long.

Win

Sep. 17 at Seattle Seahawks - This will be a close game. Both teams have great backs, AZ has better receivers, Seattle has a better OL & defense. Quarterbacks are a push, Warner's better, but he has a tendency to throw picks, Hasselbeck is good, but has a tendency to connect to the ground as much as his receivers.

Close loss

Sep. 24 ST. LOUIS RAMS - These guys are rebuilding after Hurricane Martz blew through & destroyed the village. If we're healthy, I guarantee a win at home. We have home field advantage this year.

Oct. 1 at Atlanta Falcons - We played them close two years ago & lost a 6-3 game because of our turnovers in the redzone. We're a better ballclub now, them...eh, not so much.

Win.

Oct. 8 KANSAS CITY CHIEFS - Home game against a team with a suspect defense. It will be blinding to watch all the red on the field. Luckily, Kansas City doesn't bring Steve Bono with them this time. We owe them for the 49-0 shelacking they gave us back in 2002. Win.

Oct. 16 CHICAGO BEARS - Monday night football! We suck on Monday night. Always have. I think we pull this one out because of home field & more talent on the field.

Close win

Oct. 22 at Oakland Raiders - We have to lose some games, and Oakland is a bad place to play. Warner & Edge are both better inside a dome. I think we have more talent, but I think we lose this one.

Oct. 29 at Green Bay Packers - Win. Yeah, it's in Lambeau, but the packers have zero talent on their roster. We're basically playing against the 2002 Arizona Cardinals, with of course the packer's 90 year old interception machine at quarterback. Road wins are hard, but this will be a freaking blowout if we're healthy.

I'm only going to prognosticate 8 games, being as we have no idea what injuries will occur or what teams may absolutely over-exceed or tank. 6-2 in 8 games would be an amazing half a season to watch though.

When is the last time Herm Edwards had a potent offensive team? He'll stifle that offense immediately. Most people seem to be choosing a loss against KC. That will be a win.6-2 on the road just seems very unlikely.The best teams are lucky to do that. Here's my prediction:

SF-W
@Sea-L
STL-W
@ATL-L
KC-W
CHI-W
@OAK-W
@GB-L
DAL-W
DET-W
@MIN-L
@STL-W
SEA-L
DEN-L
@SF-W
@SD-L

That's 9-7, 6-2 at home ,3-5 on the road.
