I think Carolina will remember how Nick Goings ran for about 130 right up the gut on us last year. I expect them to try and pound it up the middle, draw up our safeties, and try a lot of deep throws.

This game totally hinges on our defense controlling the run and making big plays against the pass. I don't think we can stop a team that can run with power and is committed to it.

What makes you think McCown is good for two INT's?

Cards defense just to much. Josh has a nice day, but Shipp is the stud.

I just don't see how Jake Delhomme doesn't throw for 3 TD's after Davis runs all over us.

Carolina - 38 - Delhomme 3 TD's - Davis & Foster 2 TD's - 1 FG
Cards - 24 - 2 TD's, 1 2pt conversion, and 3 FG's

Carolina will play big early and the Cards won't have as much luck catching up on their Defense.

I like Kool-Aid too. I just can't find the pitcher. :(

To much Stephen Davis. To much DeShaun Foster. To much pressure on McCown.

Panthers 26 Cards 9

Monday we will be talking about the "old" Josh McCown and how he overthrew 3 wide open receivers and didn't see two other ones standing all by themselves near or in the end zone.

I agree that Carolina is overrated. We can win this one if we don't beat ourselves with stupid penalties and turnovers.

McCown has another productive day but not without pissing off half the board with an INT. Shipp has decent day but Fitz and Boldin have huge days. Defense plays bend but don't break against the Panthers running game and hold off the Panthers in the red zome a couple of times. Peppers haas big day rushing passer but half the board blames McCown for not cutting off his dropback to 5 steps even though play calls for 7 step drop.

Thread Predictions for Monday:

McCown Still Sucks...But I'm Glad Cards Won
Stupid Panthers (started by RyanWB)
McCown Should Be Strapped to a Nuke and Dropped in Middle East (started by SWD)
See, I Told You Everything Would Be Alright (started by clif)

He needs to show up and make some big plays sunday. Haven't heard #90 called very much at all this year which has been very disappointing.

Cards won't get out quicked by Foster or run over by an aging s davis.

This game comes down to protecting the ball and getting pressure on Delahommie. Very winnable.

Gotta get to 2-3 baby. some how some way

He was double teamed at least for portions of the game. But, I agree, DD has been missing in action for the most part.

Mckown fumbles twice, but runs a few times exciting the Mckownittes to the point of frivarly..They then will Demand we lock him up immediately as he is clearly the one to lead us to an extremely below average record over the next decade.
