Fitzgerald looks great, but I'm not at all impressed with Kolb tonight. It's WAY early, and I'm not trying to make a blanket statement about the pick-up...but he's got to play better than he did on those first couple of possessions for us to have a chance at the playoffs.

Wow really? He's been on the team a week! And he completed a bomb to Fitz lol

Not that means everything but remember the last time we headed to Oakland for a preseason game with high expectations for a QB? Comparatively he looks like Dan Marino.

Personally I really liked what I saw.

Dude looked great so far. Especially for only being on offense and these WR's for about 10 days. What were you expecting?

"Great?" What game are you watching? I was expecting some accuracy.

He's moving great, but his passes have been a little off. Like I said, it's not a condemnation, just an observation. I completely expect timing (and the resulting accuracy) will improve with time.

I'm just worried about protecting Kolb. IMO, he has looked better than good. He is more mobile than I thought.

I think his accuracy sucked on a few of those plays because he was running for his life.

that completion was all Fitzgerald. It was poorly thrown ball, IMO.

Well you are entitled to it. It was a throw put exactly where it needed to be for Fitz to make a play on it. He did. He was 4-7 and drove the team right down the field on his second series with a weeks worth of practice in an O system he had never been in. Really what were you looking for??

It was right in the bread basket... Of the db.

Like I said, I expected a little more accuracy from him. But I'll take it all back. Kolb looks like a pro-bowler! Everything he did tonight was awesome! Kurt who?

Obviously the Cards would have been happy if the NFL had cancelled the first pre season games.

But I love the new offense. Snap it to Kolb. Chunk it to Larry. Fitzgerald has to be a freakin' alien.

Don't make my post out to be an anti-Kolb sentiment. Like I said, I'm sure he'll get better with more time on the practice field. But I don't see how everyone can be gushing over his performance tonight.

No not saying that. But Fitz is expected to win jump balls. Fitz and Kolb has clicked.

1 thing is for sure. Our defense looks like last years almost exactly. Our offense will be better just because it has to with even poor QBing....But our defense is getting beat around the field by a crappy offensive team. IMHO.

Waaaaay Off Topic.

With the scrubs starting to filter in, I wanted to bring up something totally unrelated...

When I googled ASFN tonight, this is what Google brought up:

www.arizonasportsfans.com/ - CachedSanitary Mixers. purchase tadalafil no prescription Pharmacy Low generic vardenafil overnight delivery Cost Meds Home Delivery Sanitary Mixers. Support ASFN ...

That's about as accurate as Skelton was in the last series.

I think part of not being negative is to not overreact to someone's somewhat negative comment. Perhaps everyone should just move on.

Hard to judge Kolb in 7 passes in his first ever start in a system he has been studying only 10 days. It would be like walking out on Shawshank Redemption after 7 minutes..saying how boring this movie is.

Does it have to be gushing? I would say a 90.8 QB rating after 5 practices is a TON more then should be expected and a credit to how quick he picks things up, wouldn't you?

It would have been completely understandable if he threw 3 picks.

It's not that you have to gush. It's more about realizing under every reasonable form of logic, that was a real good first step. Especially with the OL and protections being in OTA form.
