Don't make my post out to be an anti-Kolb sentiment. Like I said, I'm sure he'll get better with more time on the practice field. But I don't see how everyone can be gushing over his performance tonight.

I dont think you are anti Kolb. Just wonder what kind or "accuracy" you were expecting considering all the circumstances involved and the fact that he was running for his life. Considering all involved I would say driving down to the 1 on your second series and zero TO's is an impressive start.

Does it have to be gushing? I would say a 90.8 QB rating after 5 practices is a TON more then should be expected and a credit to how quick he picks things up, wouldn't you?

It would have been completely understandable if he threw 3 picks.

It's not that you have to gush. It's more about realizing under every reasonable form of logic, that was a real good first step. Especially with the OL and protections being in OTA form.

Hard to judge Kolb in 7 passes in his first ever start in a system he has been studying only 10 days. It would be like walking out on Shawshank Redemption after 7 minutes..saying how boring this movie is.

1 thing is for sure. Our defense looks like last years almost exactly. Our offense will be better just because it has to with even poor QBing....But our defense is getting beat around the field by a crappy offensive team. IMHO.

Keep in mind there is no gameplan. Its pretty much one-on-one vanilla football

The bigger point Pariah is Peyton Manning could have been traded to the Cardinals 5 days ago, and it's likely there would be at least some sort of timing issue and it's not like his accuracy was WAY off. He missed a spot or two by a couple inches.

Name the QB who would have come in under those circumstances and been hitting guys between the numbers and being perfct out there? I guess I'm just not sure what you were expecting or what you would have considered a "successful" performance.

LOL...I agree...It is extremely painful. Like listening to a High school announcing crew...with a little less talent.
