It looks like WWE and Matt Hardy were not able to work out a deal to keep him from leaving.

As noted in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Hardy is expected to leave the company in a few weeks. I’ve written before that Hardy and WWE are not far apart on money but Hardy wants to be assured that if he signs another contract (perhaps his final in-ring wrestling contract) then he would like a better creative direction for his character.

Meltzer noted that Hardy offered the idea to have his “Free The Delete” YouTube series to lead to his return with his old “Broken” character but WWE was not interested.

The Edge-WWE return rumors have been circulating for months and thus far, there has been no concrete timetable for his return.

However, a source told WrestleZone’s Bill Prichard that Edge’s return is coming and fans should expect to see him later this month as part of the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

Prichard says his source told him that Edge will make his in-ring return in the Men’ Royal Rumble match. The source did not say if this would be a one-off appearance but it was noted that Edge in the Rumble match is considered to be a “lock.” If that is the case, then it would indicate that he has been cleared to in-ring activity.

Triple H started out by talking about how WWE has a team of medical experts that determine whether talent is medically cleared to compete in the ring.

He brought up the situation with Daniel Bryan having a history of concussions and no one thinking that he could ever return in WWE. He brought up Bryan working extremely hard to get in the right shape to be able to perform again safely and that the same experts who didn’t clear him eventually did.

“Who wouldn’t want them to return? I’m a fan just like everyone else. I would love to see them step into a ring and compete. More importantly than that, though, I’d like to see them live long and healthy lives.”

WWE has signed Emily Andzulis, according to a report by Squared Circle Sirens.

Andzulis is the first female champion on “The Titan Games,” the NBC show produced and hosted by The Rock. She is also an amateur mixed martial artist from Knoxville, Tennessee.

She had a WWE tryout at the Performance Center in March and she’s been training at the JPWA Wrestling Academy in Knoxville, Tennessee. That is the school owned by Glenn “Kane” Jacobs. You can see her pictured below with Jacobs and trainer Tom Prichard.

It’s been reported that money isn’t an issue for Hardy when trying to decide whether he will sign a new deal with the company. Instead, it’s about what the company has planned for him on television. For more on that, click here.

Wyatt took to his official Twitter account where he sent out the following:

“dear matt, i couLd nEver hurT you i could heal you, just like you did for Me whEn the world threw me away you were the only one offering to pick me up and I Never forget…..”
