I was surprised we didn't look at Gio Bernard or Wayne Gallman. Neither is great but better than the backups we have. There are guys out there but I don't think Tyler Ervin is going to make much difference here for example.

Joshua Kelley got off to a good start for the Chargers last year and then fell off a cliff and got buried on the depth chart. they drafted a RB too so it wouldn't be a shock if Kelley winds up not making their roster.

RB's always shake loose it's finding the guys who fit your system.

I can't help but think that we might look back and remember this as the draft we passed on Najee Harris, like we did AP all those years ago
lol with how the NFL is now, we won’t see another AP in our lifetime

Shady McCoy has been on the last 2 SB teams & is a free agent. He wants to go to a competitor. Would he perceive the Cardinals as a team that is ready to compete for a championship? He’s 32, but can still contribute.

Hopefully Dave Bautista at ILB is a hell of a lot better than Bad, REALLY Bad Levi Brown was.
I enjoyed this as a wrasslin' fan.

Maybe not that extreme, but I feel like we'll regret it in the short term. Collins has a ton of passion though, here's hoping.

What was your solution?

We'll pass it on as a postscript to the so-called "idiot".

If only there was a good back available somewhere we picked where we didn't have to reach for a different player.

I can see our R1 pick being used as a Slot/RB. Instead of the normal RB sweeps with Murray handing off to our RB, he can quickly flip the ball to Moore to get the ball outside on the edge more quickly. This kid could really make our 3rd and short yardage situations a lot more productive and successful.

As I have thought about more and more the last 2 days, I like this pick or Moore. Hopkins and Greene should love it too. It will keep Ds much more honest and open the field up 'Moore'. I feel our offense just improved greatly and eliminates some of the glitches that have been present in it not having a player quite like Moore.

You mean our R2 pick, Moore? And you seriously think HE'S going to improve our short-yardage situation. Dude, I got this awesome beachfront property in Kansas you're REALLY going to love!

That's Conner's and our O-line's job and we don't know how that will work out but a better push at centre should come into play.

It’s interesting, I keep seeing this about Hudson but I can’t find his run blocking grade anywhere. All I see are comments and grades about his being the best pass blocking center in the league. Now, that said, I can’t see how he’s not better than what we’ve had at center in the run game for years, but can anyone provide a link with information about the strength of his run blocking?

We didn't need any late round RBs that are as bad as or equal to Benjamin and Ward.

This too though. Our run game won't take much pressure off of Kyler, and he'll challenge to be our leading rusher if healthy.

This sort of a start:

Over the last five seasons, no center has recorded a single pass-blocking grade higher than Hudson’s worst single-season mark over that stretch. His 1.0% pressure rate allowedover those five seasons is nearly a full percentage point lower than Brandon Linder(1.9%) in second place at the center position. The only thing keeping him at just sixth on this list is that both Kelce and Mack provide a good bit more than Hudson in the run game, but there are few teams out there that wouldn’t love to have Hudson anchoring their offensive line.

Also keep in mind a good portion of run game is Kyler Murray and a good portion of his runs start out as pass plays. So adding an elite pass blocking C, who might be able to somewhat contain Aaron Donald for example, not only helps our pass game, it helps our run game because the longer Kyler has to throw the more room to run there will be if he takes off and runs.

Some team will have to cut a decent RB at some point and SK will need to acquire them.
