You know what...where the hell has our offense gone in the 2nd half? In fact, where has it gone since the first quarter? Our defense, until now, had shut down the friggin' hags, and all we can manage were 3 50 plus yard fgs? When our running game finally seems to be working? McCown looked like the real deal for a while there in the first half (except for a few mistakes), but now he's satisfied to dink and dunk it. It's not working. McCown needs to step it up, because we now have a 6 point game. Field goals don't get you a very big lead, as we now realize.

Maybe dink and dunk is all that was available. He has shown hes not afraid to go down field.

I agree. It's as if they are playing not to lose since the half. Guess we'll see now. Only up by 6.

If we win today, I can't go to another game this year.... they play their best game is over 10 years when I am not in attendance :D

Did you make it for the second half...?!

Then why won't he do it now? Fitz WAS covered on the TD. If that's our criteria for a pass, then he shouldn't have thrown the ball. Sometimes you need to put it up there and let the WR make the play. When you stay short for 2 plus quarters, you start telegraphing what you're going to do...which leads to INTs returned for a TD.

That play calling continues to baffle me.

3 quarters of hard work given away in a 5 minute span.

Comeback time, Cards!

Exactly. Throw the friggin' ball down the field.

Progress a few steps...regress even further back...progress a few steps, regress a few steps...progress a few steps, collapse. Jake McCown has shown next to nothing since early in this game. In fact, he's showing some pretty negative things now. Boo hiss, and get your head out of your orifice, Jake, er, Josh.

I wouold have to say you are overgeneralizing a tad stout with your last statement.

But you shouldnt just chuck a ball up for the sake of chucking it.

Huh uh. He's had time, he's had deep reads, he just hasn't thrown them. Hell, for all I know, every WR running a deep route has been double covered for the last 2 plus quarters...but I don't really think so.

Sure, the bit about the TD is just bitterness, but when they KNOW you're going short, they're going to start jumping routes. Simple facts. McCown's not looking good at all right now, and I'm putting it on his shoulders, because, strangely, it IS on his shoulders.

I am officially OFF the McCown bandwagon. He looks like a loser out there. No moxie, no desire to win. Hell, he looks like he's not even trying.

Josh has that deer in the headlights look now. We're going to need our D to pull this one out. Keep us in it and give Rackers another shot for the win.
