To lay down in our own house like this is embarrassing to say the least.

No other way to look at it.

If it didn't mean anything then the backups would have started the game.

Pride. Think about it.

Is it the end all? No

But I hope this team quits reading the press clippings on how good they are and earn it the right way.

Playoffs are one and done. No coming out flat, no excuses, no allowing other teams to build big leads thinking you can come back.

The backups can't start the game, as we don't have enough backups on the roster to field a team. We go over this every time the subject comes up.

Before the game started, I said to my youngest son that it wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing if we lost. Really, really tough to beat a very good team 3 times in one season. That's probably what would have to happen had we won today. Don't get me wrong, I hate to see us lose like we did today. But it really doesn't matter how ugly it was. There's no guarantee that Seattle beats Washington & Carolina, although I think they will. I'll take a home game for the NFC Championship against Seattle. In a freakin heartbeat!!

Football is an emotional game. I think that deep down the Cardinals to a man knew that there was no way Carolina would lose & that today's game was essentially meaningless. Very difficult to get up emotionally, especially since we beat them in their house not that many weeks back. Complete opposite for Seattle. They played like dog **** last week & they were still feeling the sting of us beating them in their house. Keep your heads up, should we play them again, you'll see a much different Cardinal team on the field. MUCH DIFFERENT.

I am one that is not worried. Hoping few injuried players will be ready and glad we didn't have anymore of our others players get hurt. I just have 1 concern and thats Cat. Sure hope he wipes this last xtra point thing out of his head because if he starts overthinking his kicks, he/we maybe in trouble. He was extremely upset when he missed it and he could tell he was carrying it around with his body language. He's been pretty clutch for us in his short career, but he has missed some possible game changing xtra points (I.e. Against the 49ers)

I don't think he's over thinking those kicks I think he keeps not following thru. If I'm not mistaken he's missed all if not most to the right

whatever....they looked like dog crap and that's not how you want to roll into the post season. Seattle served notice they are still the team to beat in the NFC after getting there two straight years. They had no answer on how to stop Wilson....none. Seattle also had nothing on the line as well. Embarrassing home effort. No way to sugar coat it.

Meh, tell that to the 2009 Saints & 2012 Ravens.

There was nothing to gain and nothing to be proven in this game for the Cardinals.

There was plenty to lose. They could lose the #2 seed, which looks like the best road to the Superbowl in the NFC, if they won. They could lose players to injury.

Both very veteran teams. That's one thing we do have going for this team. They will demand a lot now, and of themselves. Still A LOT to clean up. No denying.

Exactly.

I don't put too much stock into rolling into the playoffs with a hot streak. Look at the 2010 Pats, 2012 Broncos, and 2013 Panthers. All of them were on fire heading into the playoffs. Then what happens? One and done.

I think this will be a wake-up call for the fellas, but most importantly, nobody got seriously hurt.

If you're the best team in the league and the team truly believes that, you want every game played at home and let others fear playing you.

It could work out brilliantly this puts Seattle on a mission which should take out Carolina which then puts the NFC championship back at our house assuming we beat the Vikes or the Skins.

I am pretty sure this could not have been setup better if we tried.

This would also show Seattle nothing, give them a false sense of security and in general serve every purpose we could have.

Do I think we were that smart to play all of that?

No, I think we got stomped and it will work itself out or not.

What is there to say? You see it with your own eyes. Unless they pull an epic comeback in the 2nd half this Cardinals team just laid a tremendous egg out on that field in ALL PHASES OF THE GAME! It's not so much they're FLAT as Seattle is just putting on a clinic. QB- D, RB - F, WR - C-, TE - F, OL - F / DL -D, LB's - F, DB's - F. , ST's F-- :moon:

No, it is called playing flat with the added thought that the Cardinals rely more on schemes than the Seahawks and they did not scheme much for the Seahawks... if we had lost against Seattle in Seattle, then that would be a clinic but a past game should remind one that it really comes down to not caring in this one :)
