J'Marcus Rhodes -- the nation's No. 2 junior-college cornerback, according to one scouting service -- has committed to Arizona State.

Rhodes (6-2, 202 pounds) attends Kilgore Junior College in Texas. In addition to ASU, he had reported scholarship offers from Oklahoma, Colorado, Missouri, Iowa State and Utah. Last season he had 32 tackles and three interceptions.

Dillon Sterling-Cole – perhaps the best uncommitted quarterback in the 2016 class -- committed to Arizona State on Tuesday, choosing the Sun Devils over Texas A&M, where his dad once played, among others.

Once he signs a national letter of intent, Sterling-Cole will become the third 247 Sports composite four-star quarterback to sign with the Sun Devils in three years, following Manny Wilkins in 2013 and Brady White last year.

ASU Football: Kareem Walker decommits from Ohio State, Sun Devils in mix

Kareem Walker, the nation's No. 1 high school running back from New Jersey, decommitted from the Ohio State Buckeyes Tuesday night.

The Arizona State Sun Devils are in the mix for his services, as Walker plans to visit Tempe for the Arizona game on Nov. 21.

Lucas and Harry's commitment to ASU may spur four-star Saguaro High School receiver/cornerback Byron Murphy, who once called himself and Harry a "package deal," to join the Sun Devils as well. Murphy has not yet announced his commitment date, but is expected to make his choice soon.

Lucas gives the Sun Devils 14 known commitments for the 2016 recruiting class, and ASU's fifth pledge ranked four stars or higher.

Lucas stands 6-feet, 170 pounds with a reported 40-yard dash time of 4.65 seconds. He was primarily a running back at Chandler, but also played receiver, cornerback and safety.

UPDATE:

Lucas says he will play both safety and slot receiver at ASU.
