It was all my fault. I was at the game. I'm 0-for-2007. I promise not to go again until a sub-.500 team is on the slate.

Have to say, I really, really wanted us to draft Pedroia instead of Stephen Drew. Just saying it wasn't quite as lame an idea as some folks thought at the time...

Drew had the name and the blood, but Pedroia is amazing... The kid has every tool in the box, and is a hitting machine!! As i said, I despise the Sox, but damm this kid is fun to watch!

Zenny, Tavares is not a rookie starter by the way. Well, he's mainly been a relief pitcher his entire career, but the guy has been in the league since 1993!!

I think she meant Owings who is starting for Arizona tonight.

Yeah. Owings' going to be sliced, diced, and deep fried, is my impression.
Well, what Drew did was a one time thing and while I think Owings isn't going to throw a no-hitter or something like that, I think the D-Backs are capable of putting a bunch of runs on the board against Tavarez. Hopefully I can catch the game at my cousin's house.

If in your book, 3-4 runs equals a "bunch of runs", then perhaps you are correct! ;)

Come on, Tavarez sucks. I think I just read he passed 6 innings once this year? 3-4 runs in the 1st 3-4 innings maybe...if Melvin gets the line-up right. We scored 3 runs off a guy having a Cy Young type year so I expect more off probably their worst pitcher. There won't be another "spanking" like last night at least.

Tavarez is nowhere close to Beckett, but he doesn't suck either... And again, even if he did, we are talking about the AL EAST vs. the NL WEST... Add to that the snakes just can't score more than 3 runs on a consistent basis... Yuck...

AL East vs. NL West? A division with only 1 team over .500 against a division with 3 teams at least 9 games over .500? And the NL West's bottom 2 have the same record or are a .5 game behind the 2nd place team. I know the AL is more talented, but they aren't that much more superior. You make it seem like such a huge difference in the East's favor when it isn't. The D-Backs are good enough to win these next two. Drew has had a bad season, he had one great game, but if he played like he usually does it's a close game. The pitching match-up really favors us tonight, not like yesterday.

Nasser, the D'Backs can certainly win the next two.. But if they did, it wouldn't be because they are the better team. And while the AL East has only 1 team over .500, that just simply illustrates just how much tougher the AL is versus the NL, and how the quality sits at a much higher level throughout the league, versus the NL where you have the Mets, Braves, Brewers, possibly the Padres and..... ?????

Hey, the Tigers were the better team last year, but the Cards beat them to win the Series so yes, the snakes can certainly win the next two...

I think Owings is going to get a win tonight. Drew had a lucky night, Boston fans have had been all over him before last night's game. Crisp, Lugo and Drew are batters that on most nights will not collect a hit, plus Tavarez has to bat. Remember, Micah can hit.

I have a good feeling about tonight. If they can score early on Tavarez, he gets frustrated and loses his concentration. He sometimes goes wacko when hit hard. You guys have to have faith.

Drew hits something like .410 at our ballpark, always has, 18 HR, doesn't matter what team he's with. He's one of those guys.

And he had that pirate look down long before it was Johnny-Depp-cool. Didn't he used to wear a huge hoop earing on the mound?

Owings gets through the 3rd on 8 pitches, and he desperately needed that quick inning.

I told you guys we would do well tonight. This Red Sox offense is not good tonight with no Manny and Pedroia. Lugo and Crisp are awful. I can't believe Boston paid so much for two guys hitting below 220. If their big lead shrinks I would not be surprised to see Boston go after a shortstop and centerfielder, or bench Crisp and play Pena in center.
