Ug, tie game. I guess when you play 7 rookies in a game you can't expect to beat the best team in baseball, but the teased me and got my hopes up.

Right, and who is going to score for the Dbacks? Then even if they get the lead, we bring in Valverde and he'll probably blow it.

Its not technically over, but a smart bet would be on the Red Sox
Why even watch then?

I would like to see Boston bring in Timlin. He just got off the DL.

Thats stupid, sorry. Am I wrong for saying its PROBABLE the Red Sox are going to win? No, in fact Im absolutely correct. They have better hitting and a better bullpen and the momentum, in all probability, they will win. Now, I'm going to watch because you have to play the games and crazy things happen.

EDIT: Yankess suck chants, wtf? Get a life Red Soxs fans.

No, what's stupid is the constant negativity on this board for a team that's 10 games over .500 and one out of first. They just came off of one hell of a run the last two weeks and all of a sudden they're being written off in a tie game. Give me a break. The whole whiny "why bother, nobody can score and Valverde would just blow it" attitude is just pathetic. I'm not picking on you, its just that some of the antics on the board when we have a fun team to watch for the first time in a couple years is getting really old.

I promise you I want them to win just as much as anyone, but putting my head in the sand and saying they will, or its probable is just foolish. I'm not being negative, I'm being truthful.

Here comes up Drew, maybe he can stay hot and get a run or two in. Hows that for some positivity?

EDIT: Dbacks hold strong, I'm hoping for a walk off.

Double edit: Robby Hammock is terrible

Walk the leadoff guy? I don't care if it Ortiz. Boston IS the team that makes you pay for that.

Those pitches were close, as was the clear 3rd strike on JD Drew, this ump just wants to the Sox to score so he can go home.

Wow, it ain't over till it's over -- but, it's over. At least everybody else lost tonight, except for CO.

But, Cruz gets credit for getting Varitek? Double-up Lowell?

Very disappointing throw by Quentin, he can do a lot better than that.

Dang, lousy throw by Quentin. I wish it would've been a pop up to Byrnes instead, he would've at least done a flip and made it look cool.

Horrible throw by Carlos. A good throw and they could of had Ortiz.

Let's hope they can tie it against Papelbon.

Payback for the walk. Hoping for a stay of execution - didn't happen. Our hitters against Papelbon?

By all accounts CQ has a good arm.... Just a weak throw? Off-line?
He rushed the throw and it went offline. I don't know if even a good throw is guaranteed to nail the guy out, but Quentin 9 times out of 10 makes a better throw than that.
