I thought Reddick had a pretty decent start at ILB in the 3-4. Especially against the Lions.

It just want all downhill once Golden tore his ACL & Reddick got bumped down to OLB, which halted his development.

He was relatively invisible no matter where he played last year.

He had a good game against the Lions in his debut. He struggled in coverage against the Colts the next week, but then had a played solid play against the Cowboys.

I’m strictly judging him for his 3-4 ILB play, where he was designed to do soon as he got drafted. He only had 3 games of that.

I get that he’s underachieving, but let’s not act like he hasn’t gotten F’d over completely by learning 3 different major roles in the past 2 years.

If he gets traded to a 3-4 defense, I won’t be surprised in the slightest that he becomes a good player.

Trading Reddick would be stupid because they’d get owned in the deal. Bucannon has been mediocre since his second season. I don’t care if PFF had him graded highly.

Reddick is still a relatively cheap asset, I would keep. Buc is worth getting rid of now for some compensation if you aren't planning to bring him back anyway.

Think of all the fun it will be to speculate what we are going to do with two additional 6th or 7th rounders!

When playing NFL 2K5(my favorite football video games next to Techmo Super Bowl), I would trade all of my top picks for as many 6 and 7th rounders as I can get. Then come draft time I would look for whatever players I need, wait for my pick, then adjust that player's stats to 99, then draft him. This way I get an uber player and since I drafted him so low I can sign him to a cheap contract. Sadly we can't do this for real.

Might as well just have Reddick change jerseys at halftime and put on a golden helmet. His mental mistakes today have extended drives for the 49ers.

Reddick is a pretty remarkable sell-low deal, if so. I mean, the reason you’d trade him would be to get the next two years of guaranteed money off your books.

IMO, he’s just too slow mentally for the NFL. I’ll never forget that the LBs coach was on Big Red Rage in the off-season and said, “we’ll, we’re not having to repeat ourselves so often with Haason.” You can’t have that in a top 15 pick. Draft football players.

Not sure what value Buc has now. I guess you get a nice linebacker for 3/4 of a season for $6 mil? You’re not gonna get more than a 6th rounder for him.

Wow. This is a surprising story to come out of the blue. I'm surprised there's interest from other teams. Jets? I guess there are a few teams still using the $LB.

This is Keim floating information out there to drive up interest in the hopes they can get anything for these guys...which they won't get much at this point.

Jason LaCanfora is terrible. He throws stuff on a wall and hopes it sticks. This is the guy that said Andy Reid was on his way to AZ and that is was official. I wouldn't take this as anything other than clickbait.

Reddick.

8 tackles and a sack?

Very misleading. the strip for the TD was a great play but most of his tackles were downfield and he was a huge reason they ran the ball so well and completed so many passes to the FB and TE

He was very bad today, with 1 great play

Evert coach’s dream: a guy you have to teach the same thing to over and over again

At this point if we could get a 5th (I know that may be wishful thinking) and a 6th for Bucannon I would deal them. It's quite apparent neither fit into this defense and reality says the defense is not going to switch over to a 3-4 so at least get some draft choices for them instead of nothing. In all probability Bucannon is not going to be resigned and Reddick could possibly be cut next season. This would give us an extra 5th (hopefully) and 2 6th choices. It could end up being 3 6th choices. In either event, they are extra draft picks and they may work out. the more choices the better your chances you will hit on one.

By comparison to our offense the defense looked okay, except in the takeaway department, where they were great. Just keep in mind that SF is not good, so that probably made our "D" look better. We're just a bad team this year. Rosen was terrible, today, but we won because he didn't turn the ball over, and their offense did. Hopefully, Rosen improves as the season goes along.

Call up the Giants and see if they would take these two for Janoris Jenkins.

I believe the cap numbers would add up as well.

Total pipe dream, but why not make the call and get laughed at first.

Jenkins really? I think the secondary is the least of our problems.
