I find it really hard to imagine that they won't both be cut. So I guess there will be a silver lining on this loss if we are finally rid of both of them.

Face it: even though we were .500 this is just not a playoff team. Especially with Warner and no kicking game.

This team is always lacking. If not O, its D. If not D, its ST. Its an idiotic crousel.

Patrick had 3 block in the back penalties on punt returns, Barr is the one who blew the play clock on the FG as he's the holder and Rackers has just lost it. I guess Whiz did make one good call and that was not going for the 52 yarder early in the game.

Sorry, Rackers and Barr aren't going anywhere. Who are we going to pick up? It sucks, we lost. Time to move on.

at least if we were on the field we wouldnt let our poor fans down, theyd already know theres no way in hell we are putting the ball through the uprights unless we can throw it through.

There are plenty of kickers on waivers who would be more accurate than Rackers. As for Barr, he's the worst punter I've ever seen. They could find a dozen unemployed veterans to do a better job.

Christ, I punted on my high school team and I think I could do better than Barr (kidding. exaggerating. but any decent punter with NFL experience could do better or at least as good)

i don't see how he can bring Rackers back and not have to explain it to the rest of the team.In fact, if he doesn't cut him, he may lose the team. I can see him letting him back after the 52 yarder at Washington. But a 32 yard FG at home to keep the team in the playoffs is unacceptable. Do you guys realize what % is for PROFFESIONAL kickers on kicks less than 35 yards? It's not 50% which is what Rackers just did. I'll try and look it up but i'll guess that it's above 95%.

Exactly, I would have peeked at the clock before we got that penalty (i was screaming to call time out at home). I would have not catch the punt that Breaston made at the end (I was also screaming let it go!).

Have the Cards ever cut anybody during the season for poor play?

Is Scott Player still with the Browns?

The team could have 5-10 kickers in Tempe by Tuesday morning for tryouts.

For any of you who think that there aren't guys on the street who can hit a 32 yarder I just dont know what to say. There are plenty of capable men I am sure. I can consistantly hit from 40 and am far from gifted.

Funny thing is that the situation wasn't really clutch either. We weren't losing. Rackers shouldn't be nervous at all. We are at home for cry out loud. How the hell do you miss that FG?

I don't know .. 17 yard punt in OT when they should have been pinned. I think more than 75% on this board can punt a 17 yarder. I would even go further and say about 50% could kick more then 25 yards.

Why not? Because there is nothing better on the street today.

Sure there is. Kickers are a dime a dozen. Guys have been brought in from off the street many times.

When that goofball Grammatica hurt himself celebrating in 2001 the Cards brought in some guy off the street named Cedric Oglesby who made 7 of 7 extra points and 5 of 6 FGs. Maybe they could give ol' Cedric a call because that's a better % than Rackers has right now.

Line drives returned for 40 yards, kicks out of bounds, didn't snap the ball on the hold in OT on the first kick. Hasn't ever pinned one deep. Barr is 28 and has never made an NFL squad until this year. That should tell us everything we need to know.

This is from azcardinals.com. Look at his stellar career.

"2007: With the Pittsburgh Steelers during the preseason, punted six times for 270 yards (45.0 yard average) and a 43.8 yard net average with a long of 51 before being released on 8/27 … claimed off waivers by Arizona on 8/28.

2006: Signed by Pittsburgh on 2/17 and was allocated to NFL Europa with the Frankfurt Galaxy where he averaged 37.8 yards per kick … was released on 9/2 during final cuts.

2005: Signed with the Steelers on 2/1 and was allocated to NFL Europe with Frankfurt where he averaged 38.9 yards per kick … attended training camp with Pittsburgh and was released on 9/3 during final cuts.

2004: Signed with Pittsburgh on 1/15 and was allocated to the Frankfurt Galaxy of NFL Europe … punted 35 times for an average of 37.9 yards … was released by the Steelers on 9/3.

2003: After trying out with the Washington Redskins and New York Jets, spent the season out of football. "

They should add "2007: Released after a heartbreaking loss to San Francisco where he displayed the fact that he is a loser."
