Possible Spoiler...Don't know how to hide it.

Finally watched the new episode last night (TiVo'd). Wow...really loved it. Love where this season is going already.

The only thing that confused me was Tommy's GF, Sheila. They made it seem like she was gone or dead from the fire...The reference to her son not having a mother around anymore...Then she shows up in the final scene, looking a little different than before. Where is that storyline going?

yeah, my guess is that he gave it to what's-her-face. They showed in scenes from next week that the kid was gone, right? It would be suicide for the show if they had the main character kill his brother's kid. Give it away to someone as messed up a he is? Yeah, that seems like it's in line with everything else, but dumping it in the river? no way in hell.

Yeah, even for this show that would be a bit much.

Even showing him holding the kid over the railing was hard to watch.

Tommy is losing it big time. Franco is an ass. Mikey is way to lonely. Shawn is not going to leave Maggie. And Gina Gershawn

God I love this show.

i don't know why, but this show is slowly loosening it's grip on me. It's still really good writing and it's still pretty damn edgy and the scene with Tommy losing it was intense, and the season's been decent overall, but there's just something that is letting my attention drift elsewhere while watching it which hasn't been the case with previous years.

Stop drinking NyQuil before you watch it.

For a few weeks there recently I agree with you. The kinder, gentler, more compassionate Tommy didn't really work for me.
I think we're going to see the disturbed Tommy we all know and love from here on out.

I thought last nights episode was by far the best of the season.
I laughed out loud on numerous occasions.

I thought Tommy's speech at the end was very telling as to his current state of mind. We've been seeing the actions and wondering what's going on in his head, and he finally clued us in.

I, for one, hate when he goes back to drinking, though. I love watching his character work through the demons of staying sober. To me, when he's drinking, it's too easy.
