Ok, all caught up.

Octavian is a smart ****. I love this point of Rome's history, and next week will be a GREAT episode.

How about Attia telling Cleopatra in her ear "Die screaming, you pig-spawned trollop." That was awesome.

I guess it can't go on forever, being based on historical data and everything, like Deadwood. But it sucks that the HBO series have a very short run.

What!?!?!? This is the last season? Aaaaargh!

They have to move fast. The Triumverate needs set up, Brutus and company defeated and killed/made to suicide, Antony and Cleopatra need to run their considerable course, and Octavius/Augustus Caesar needs to become CAESAR. And all of this has to share time with the incredibly well done personal stories. Man, does it HAVE to end so soon???

I finally got to watch another episode of this last night, but I’m still way behind (S1 E2). I’m watching this with the wife and she just doesn’t have the same dedication to watching movies/tv shows that I do. I really like the actors they chose for Lucius and Titus.

The next one looks to be brutal.

It looks like the attempt on Attia's life failed.

Veranus is going to ditch Antony and save his children and probably become somewhat sane again.

Brutus looks to be reborn or something. Should be a good episode.

Rome starts at 8:00 pm here in Chicago. I hope the Super Bowl is over by then.

You don't have a DVR, bro?

Man, you have to get that. Tivo, cable one, whatever. You should never be emboldened to broadcast schedules.

My mother in law knows one of the cast members. I think that is where I heard it.

Then you have a very cool mother in law.

That show is fantastic.

BTW
Vorenus and Pullo's fight was awesome, and when Pullo knew he wasn't going to sway Vorenus to logic, he just goes with he banged Niobe with six other guys and such. That is awesome. Looks like Vorenus is to get his kids back and the two badasses get to kiss and make up. I am anxiously awaiting who will be playing Octavian/Augustus Caesar.

I thought last night's episode was one of the best ever.

It will take a little while to get used to the new Octavian, though. Too bad they had to switch because I really thought Max Pirkis did a great job.

Last night when Vorenus finds his children and rescues them, that was very powerful. I got a little teary-eyed when Vorenus went to the boy, Lucius, and hugged him.

Great episode.

I think they did a great job casting the new Octavian/Augustus, though I really enjoyed Max Pirkis' acting.

Atia and Servilla are seriously unreal. Talk about kicking it up a notch...damn.

Nice little throwback to Julius Caesar, Brutus and Marc Antony when they were showing Octavian and his merry men.

Seriously, I look forward to this show every week. Is it Sunday yet?

Holy Buckets, Atia is unbelievably awesome! Marc Antony awesome. Vorenus and Pullo awesome!! The show's writing awesome!

DD, who would win in a fight to the death, Vorenus or Pullo? I say Pullo, but Wife says Vorenus because he is psycho. Hard to pick against psycho factor.

Is there a thread about Extras? I love that show.

"Midget! Are those your real clothes? Would I fit in your house?" Classic.

I think they both die if they fought to the death.

I love Vorenus' death move. The straight down stab behind the left clavicle is crazy!

If I ever get in a sword fight I am totally gonna use that.

I love the back-and-forth between Antony and Posca (Julius Caesar's former slave). They're like the odd couple. Antony is the "master", but it's obvious that Posca is smarter than he is.

Antony: "So, General Posca speaks". Hilarious!
