stanton is si difficult to evaluate.
in the first 3 series was like an all-pro.
after that for a couple of quarter a mix between skelton and anderson

the 2 interceptions were like a wtf throws..terrible read,,thats what concern me

I don't think he's that difficult to evaluate. He played well on BA's scripted plays the first couple of drives. As soon as he had to start making reads and decisions he threw two picks.

I felt like the team was a rocky best record for weeks now. It seems like every single game had something ugly about it. However, we kept winning which is a testament to the mentality of the team.

Now? Sooner or later throwing picks is going to be too much to overcome. We can't have Stanton in there throwing picks. Maybe he just needs to get back into the grove. In the playoffs you throw 2 picks were probably going to get bounced. He drives me nuts because sometimes he looks like he has a great arm but his head gets in the way.

The analyst have been saying for weeks the Cards keep winning but they have some obvious weaknesses. I think the big issue is that teams have not been able to exploit them. Throwing picks is different. Those are gifts you give the other team. You don't have to wait for the other team to exploit those.

+1.

The pick he threw to the LB was horrible. You have to see that LB when you play QB in the NFL.

Not sure I follow. Isn't a QB asked to make reads on all plays, even scripted ones?

So Stanton hasnt thrown an int in the longest time, then all of a sudden he throws 2. Everyone flips out and says he can't get it done. Yes, they were bad interceptions, but do other good QB's make bad decisions too? Of course. Offense clearly went stale and the defense won us the game, but the 2 td passes to start the game set the stage, IMO. Can't really expect to put up tons of points against a top notch defense. Look at what teams do to our defense. Minimal points. Will he struggle next week in Seattle, more than likely but who doesn't struggle there? Guess I am a strong believer in Stanton because he is our QB abs still inexperienced. Call me a homer, but I am believer he will better next week.

I hope so (not that he played bad yesterday) but it would be a HUGE win in Seattle.

One of his two int's (the first iirc) they showed a great shot that was basically from his perspective, in real-time wide angle I was like "WTF???"

But when I saw a replay from his perspective, He had a clear shot to his target (or so it seemed) a few milliseconds after release you saw the defender was completely obscured by a few Cardinals, still a bad decision, but a lot easier to stomach when I saw what he was seeing.

Eli Manning won 2 Super Bowls, and more times than not he resembles Mark Sanchez.

Dude is a complete enigma.

It is very strange. He threw 5 INTs yesterday and they still had a chance to beat the 49ers in the 4th Quarter.

No kidding. The one he threw in the redzone towards the end of the game was the back breaker

Agreed. The fist pick was a bad throw to begin with into triple coverage. The second was a great play by the defender. He was covering Brown at the line and still facing Stanton when the ball was thrown. He stopped and was in perfect position for the int.

Stanton will be fine and his mobility will be a welcome benefit. This team is not good at one anything, but is great at the small things for winning games. I have complete confidence Stanton can QB this team to the SB.

With this defense i'll take his line from yesterday any game.
