Tankathon has Alfred Collins going to the Cards in round 2! I like the pick assuming they go Edge in Round 1. He’s a little raw but has a great motor and tons of physical tools. He has a ferocious, bull rush mentality, but needs to refine technique. He attempts various moves but lacks the polish to make them fully effective. He’s quick and can penetrate now. He uses his hands well and can shed blockers effectively. Collins never seems discouraged by double teams. He’s a solid tackler so when he gets his hands on someone he usually lands them. Collins is very aware and frequently deflects passes. He’s quick enough to exploit stunts. Like many tall players he can get upright, sacrificing his leverage. This kid wants to win and wants to be good. He fits the Cards mentality. In their system he should become a force.

I just started looking at some of his games today at lunch.

Kenneth Grant has 10 pass defenses in the past two seasons at Michigan. I know you mentioned him earlier this year @DVontel but he is 21 and playing really aware and athletic football.

and I am sorry for those who are new to the draft prospects this year. Kenneth Grant has no part of round 2. Completely off topic.

That’s the less talented DT at Michigan, right?
Less talented? Maybe. Both look like they could be special. IMO. Not many 335 lb dudes move like Grant. I am sure there are highlight vids on YouTube that will summarize him pretty quickly if you want to watch.

It's early but I haven't seen many DTs consistently get off the ball quicker than Omarr Norman-Lott from Tennessee. Very little hesitation and delay from snap to his first step. He would be a consideration in round 2 if he was available and nothing crazy pops up.

I watched a bunch of Michigan this year, I just mix up the names of the two stud tackles. Hence my question about which is considered more talented. The mocks seem place a 10-15 pick differential to them.

What did you think of Collins? They have to take Grant unless some Edge drops dramatically. I love Grant.
I see what you are saying about him standing up at the snap at times. Looks like he can get off blocks to make tackles on RBs which is underrated IMO. He can get after the QB when he gets on the shoulder of an OL. His arms look long. I like DL in that 6'3 to 6'5 range which he hits. A little bit older prospect. I worry about Collins not having more than 2 sacks in a 5 year career.

I can see why he is a 2nd round prospect. A little bit of a high floor, low ceiling guy but that is just from a small sample size.
