I coming real late to this party. I have read many of the responses, however not all of them, so forgive me for posting boldly. Here is my $.02... and give me back my change when I'm done...
The Suns are a much different team than 2005 - very different. On paper, it shouldn't be close. On paper, the Suns win in 5 games. However, when you factor in experience, coaching, and intangibles, such as San Antonio getting calls because they are allowed to complain and cry... The Spurs could win this series in 6 games, possibly 5.
My prediction... It is the Suns year. It has to be. We have the best player in the league who is motivated more than ever, we have a dominant Big Man, we are healthy, we have a couple of defensive stoppers, and we have home court. This is going to be a series with very close games... average margin of victory in the series is going to be < 4 points per game. But, we are mentally tougher than we used to be, it will be in favor on the Suns this time. The Suns will win the Series... BUT, how many games?
My Humble prediction...
Game 1, Suns win by a small margin
Game 2, Suns win by very very slim margin
Game 3, Spurs win by a small margin
Game 4, Suns win in double or triple overtime
Game 5, Suns win in OT
SUNS IN FIVE
That is my story, and I'm sticking to it. And, yes, I AM A HOMER!! Always have been, always will be.
