A lot of people on here (not necessarily you) are SO negative that they think that the Spurs won't have any trouble against us. And that is even MORE infuriating coming from a Phoenix Suns message board.

is this substantiated AT ALL by anything on the board. A LOT of people think "the Spurs won't have ANY trouble against us." I haven't seen one person utter such thoughts, much less "a lot of people". This strikes me as a little weird, Chap.

Spurs in 6, right, cheese? Why even respond to me, since I'm such a homer.

huh? Spurs in 6 means I think the Spurs won't have ANY TROUBLE? Did you even bother reading the rest of my post where I said if we take Game 1 we have a great chance of taking this and if it goes 7, i believe we'll win it? And what about the homer thing? I never said anything about that? Jeez, man, ease up there a little Chap... the series hasn't even started and you seem like you want to kill me and e. Believe me, I'm sure they'll be plenty of warranted moments once the series starts but already?

Nah, I'm just angry at all the negativity and the Suns fans vs. Suns fans arguments and insults that have cropped up over the past few days.

Actually, to be honest, none of it was directed towards you.

dude, if you thought it was bad in the last couple days (and I actually thought it was somewhat even keeled) get ready to VOMIT the first time we lose. People are going to trying to kill each other Tron-style!

Wouldn't it be great if we just all of a sudden put EVERYTHING together and just went circa-2001 Lakers on the Spurs, kicking the ever living snot out of them in 4? A man can dream, right?

LOL, "Tron-style"? You mean that animated movie? I remember that it was super-hyped and I saw it once and thought, "Um." Should I see it again?

yeah - Tron-style as in there will be cyber-wars here people ain't seen since The Dude (Jeff Bridges for the non-Lebowski peeps out there) was sucked into that computer back in the day! And yeah, you should see it again - it's YEARS ahead of it's time... it's all about cyber-wars and cyber-terrorism and the way computers will take over the world. really interesting political sci-fi. Also, check out THEY LIVE!

My gut tells me this series is going 7. i feel like it's just going to find a way to end up like that. I like our chances at home in that situation, but it's far from assured.

Id say Spurs in 7. I do think we stand a very good chance at winning this series though.

It always feels like we're playing our big brother. Just that mental hurdle that we have to overcome. We've been in the lead in the 4th quarter for almost every game. We just need Nash's shot to be reliable in the 4th. I say Suns in 6. I haven't talked myself out of this series like so many others.

I coming real late to this party. I have read many of the responses, however not all of them, so forgive me for posting boldly. Here is my $.02... and give me back my change when I'm done...

The Suns are a much different team than 2005 - very different. On paper, it shouldn't be close. On paper, the Suns win in 5 games. However, when you factor in experience, coaching, and intangibles, such as San Antonio getting calls because they are allowed to complain and cry... The Spurs could win this series in 6 games, possibly 5.

My prediction... It is the Suns year. It has to be. We have the best player in the league who is motivated more than ever, we have a dominant Big Man, we are healthy, we have a couple of defensive stoppers, and we have home court. This is going to be a series with very close games... average margin of victory in the series is going to be < 4 points per game. But, we are mentally tougher than we used to be, it will be in favor on the Suns this time. The Suns will win the Series... BUT, how many games?

My Humble prediction...
Game 1, Suns win by a small margin
Game 2, Suns win by very very slim margin
Game 3, Spurs win by a small margin
Game 4, Suns win in double or triple overtime
Game 5, Suns win in OT

SUNS IN FIVE

That is my story, and I'm sticking to it. And, yes, I AM A HOMER!! Always have been, always will be.

Oops... back to the drawing board...

I still say Suns in 6 -- game 2 will determine if this is a series or we are done.

Yep, back to the drawing board for me...

I would like to modify to now say, Suns in 6... Suns will still split in San Antonio and win game 5 and now Game 6.

They have the talent to do it. They have the players to do it. They just need to find the heart for it... especially #31, Harry Houdini.

Using Kurt Thomas effectively -- Suns steal a game in San Antonio and win the series in 7.

Not using Kurt Thomas effectively -- Spurs in 5.

OK, Mickey D, it's up to you! Is your loyalty to European style basketball or American style?
