With our #1B running back out for the season. The question is will CKW continue with the two backs with 10 carries per game or go with Beanie like they did with Edge in 2007 and run Chris 20 times a game.

I hope its Chris for 20 instead of trying to give 10 to a less talented back than Wells and RWilliams.

Beanie gets 18-25 carries until he proved he is unworthy or incapable of doing so.

I hope he doesn't plan on using LSH to run the ball very often unless it is misdirection or screen passes. He is too small to go busting into the LOS and will eventually get hurt. I wouldn't mind seeing Smith get a few carries just to see what he can do.

I'm with you 40. I was watching with one eye covered during preseason when they were running LSH like he were a regular RB.

Hey Ken, LSH won a guy a house returning kickoffs. Try not to kill him before he can take another one 105 for 6. Just last night Cobb takes one 108 and Sproles busts a 57 yard return.

Our #1 RB did not go down. The Bean is the number 1 back even if the kid didn't go down with that injury. That being said I love what the kid can bring and hope he gets well enough to make a strong comeback next year.

LSH is who he is a 3rd down, change of pace, give the Bean a rest back. I hope we don't have to play our new guy but 10 snaps a game. If Wells (And thats a big if) the Bean can stay healthy he will have a 1st round pick year!

Who said our #1 RB went down.

Read again. And take that silly chicken off your head when you do so you can see better.

Beanie consistently gets engulfed in Madden 12.

But he sure looks good when he gets outside left tackle in "real" (preseason) games.

Frankly, I'll be surprised if LSH is the typical 3rd down back. Unless the play is designed to go to him, I'd assume the team would rather have Taylor in, as he's better in protection...

I believe that it remains to be seen just what Whiz will allow for the run game. I know that he utilized it much more this pre-season, but he has never called anything near 40% of the calls being run calls during the regular season. Like CardsfanMD, I don't see LSH being a third down back at all, and Whiz will try to use him to spell Beanie, despite the fact that last year he proved twice, that he is only good for about 5 carries before he becomes inconsequential. Taylor is Whiz's 3rd down back, because of his blocking skills and his ability to catch out of the backfield.

Put Taylor and LSH in the backfield at the same time. Then the defense will have to account for both of them going out for a pass and take some of the pressure off the WR's. I sure can think of a lot of different plays you could run off of this formation.

I also misread that the first time I saw it and thought he was talking about Beanie, but it didn't make any sense. Then I realized that he was talking about Beanie being 1A and Williams being 1B.

i love 2 rb sets, have one swing left, one swing right, 2 wr run routes and TE run route. 5 options, one will be open.

Yes, I agree we ned to get Chris into a rythum by letting him run the rock. No more rb by committee.

LSH = Sproules.

(How the Saints use their backs may give some idea as to what Whiz has in mind.)

As always, this has everything to do with our O-line run blocking.

Beanie has been getting like 7 or less, That is a stupid crime. He needs 20-25 to have a " normal game"

Our playcalling sucked bad! That is why whiz gave it up!
