I really wish they would bring back Hightower. Love the guy.

He was talking all sort of trash about AZ while he was a star in Washington. Now im sure hes humble that hes unemployed.

screw that guy, we have our pick of the litter. Got about 1000 equally talented (meaning not all that good) RBs knocking our door down right now.

Examples?

No articles. Just clearly remember his spouting poster board material prior to the AZ v W game. And during the game he got in a few fights with Lenon and Adrian. Afterwards saying he was trying to get under their skin and he knows how to press their (Cards D players) buttons.

Needs shoulder surgery, according to Urban tweet.

Shame that's not the modern version of urban legend.

Direct snaps to #21 on downs 1-3 now, I guess.

I feel like breaking stuff.

William Powell also had a head injury last week, so it looks like our only healthy RB is Alfonso Smith. You know, the guy who wasn't even good enough to make the team six weeks ago.

Oh, and this makes three major injuries in three years for RW. He might develop into a decent player, but counting on him to contribute at any point seems like a stretch.

Yes, makes one wonder whether he will ever be able to play a full season.

However, in the long run, this may turn out to be a blessing in disguise---he came back awfully fast from the patella tendon injury---now he gets to make the knee and his legs stronger (you know this kid's work ethic is off the charts). He should be able to build the shoulder back to full strength much quicker than the knee.

He got a good taste of what he's up against---and it may make him all the more hungry and confident.

What happened to Slaton after his 1,600 combined yards in his rookie year? Injuries? He's still pretty young.

Well my fear of drafting a 1st round RB in the draft thread just got bigger.

I think that means he's just a good competitor. I really hope we bring him back, but I doubt it.

I imagine New Orleans would probably take a 4th or 5th for Chris Ivory at this point. They dont really use him and are 1-4, itw what I would do if I was the Cards.

WiPo time.

He's not playing Sunday...had a concussion on Friday..accoriding to reports.

LSH and Smith

at least they have a week to work on it.

I laughed at the comment 'all of them' ...we may need all of them :)
when you don't invest in the O line this is what happens. Not a single first or second round pick in the group.

Look at SF - lots of 1st round picks up front. Alex can do his taxes back there. Don't invest in the o line and don't pay FA's and this is what you get

REMEMBER they had a chance to get Gaither...they passed....now look at Gaither...playing like an all pro.

Ouch! Our already weak running 'attack' just got significantly weaker. And poor Ryan Williams. Hafta feel bad for the kid after all the hard work he put in.

Don't even think such a thing. We have to address the OL. It doesn't matter who is at RB or QB if we don't have an OL.

I think a lot of you forgot that we were not considered a good OL even before the injuries. Getting our usual suspects back still doesn't make us any better. We need new blood on the OL, not just patch work.

I am tired of seeing "RB" run into a brick wall and lose 2 yds to begin each series. It is just poor football and not what winning teams do or are made of.

We have tried for years to catch lightning in a bottle by drafting RBs and WRs with our higher picks. We need a legit OL if we ever want more than just sparks.

It should have been apparent coming into this season, but even more so next season, the Cardinals cannot count on RBs coming off injuries. I knew Williams had a serious injury but I never knew the same could be said of Wells.

you just can't go into the season with two running backs who have habitual injury concerns.

* ^^ From that list Id give Ryan Torain a look. He was explosive for awhile last year.

You can only laugh. Not at his injury, thats terrible, i feel so bad for the guy. But just laugh at the comedy which is the Cardinals.

What are the odds of making the playoffs witha 4-0 start? Like 79%?

Well, we'll be putting that to the test. Now teams know for a fact they dont have to worry about our running game.

Stomping the eagles was the highlight of the year. Also Beating NE was fun. Bills game will more or less say what the rest of this season will be like. Im guessing its about time to pack er away. No oline. No rb's. horrible OC. 1 dimensional QB.

Dark days ahead.

Get a grip nervous nelly!
