Just saw the news... this sucks even though RW was not doing anything. At least there was hope. What is the problem with our RB's???
The problem with our running backs is the o line!

Hightower apparently needs a knee scope. That's why the Redskins opted for Ryan Grant.
I like the idea of offering a conditional pick for Chris Ivory. I've always thought he's an underrated back.
Just don't call Jones on the phone. Send him a letter.
I wonder if Chester Taylor is available?
Just got the AZSports text alert and my heart sank..
Feel horrible for Ryan first and foremost, and horrible for our chances going forward!!
What's up with Cadillac ? Is he a dented tin can now?

I was talking about their injury issues. The problem with our running backs is the o line!
You trade for Chris Ivory from the Saints. He is a very tough, pounding RB who is buried on their depth chart and that teams needs picks. He has experience in a passing offense, and can replace what Ryan Williams brought to the table. He is young, so if he works, you have the option of signing him to an extension. I would offer a 6th, that could be upgraded to a conditional 5th.
Other than that, I see nothing worth signing.
you just can't go into the season with two running backs who have habitual injury concerns.
I would see what Washington wants for Roy Helu. I really like him coming out of college. I don't think teams will be lining up to help out the Cards and a trade will be very difficult to complete.
If I had my choice the guy I would go after is DeAngelo Williams. Carolina has 3 starting caliber RB's, 4 if you want to count Newton, and they're not really running the ball all that well.
I really think a trade is the only way to go. The list of FAs out there is a dung heap at best. Just say no to THT. New Orleans and especially Carolina have a surplus at RB. Carolina would be my first choice. The real question is would they have any interest and what would they ask for one of their backs.
Considering how we dealt with trades before I would expect to get fleeced by Carolina. The real scary part is when you hear Wiz make his infamous statement "We are comfortable with who we have" You know its a recipe for disaster. It also means they will sit on their collective thumbs and do nothing about our current RB situation. It's no real problem, Wells will be back in 6 more weeks.
I thought that was Pittman who broke his hand on the phone? Or did he cut himself or something like that.
