Definitely a bridge. Now the Cards don't have to be desperate and break the bank to move up. If they can move up a little to get 1 of the Top 4 QB's without hurting draft picks too much I'm good with. If not, they stay at 15 draft BPA (QB, WR, OL) and maybe grab Falk/Rudolph in 2nd

This should in no way keep this team from trading up to the QBOTF.

Curious to see the numbers and how much his contract hamstrings us from making any other necessary improvements at WR, OL and CB.

Where are we even going to get a damn WR or 2 that we need? Watkins is garbage and cost more than we can spend, and now we are going to burn probably our first and second to get a QB who won't play.

Larry totally wasted his time coming back.

Just confirming reports that Bradford will sign with Arizona. Short-term deal with an average of $18 million per year. Incentives could push to $20 m

The good news about this is that if Cousins gets a 3 year contract, you can use that to say well... the top guy is only signing for 3 years, so we're offering you two and you'll like it.

Cards moved as soon as they realized Cousins was going elsewhere.

IFIFIFIFIFIFIFIF on Bradfords health. He has all the tools but is made of straw. He is as mobile as Palmer and needs a superior OL for any kind of success. With the Rams, he had a different OC every year and again with Philly an Vikes---at least he is a quick study. He can make WRs look better than they are. He will find Fitz and put the ball right where only Fitz can catch it.

Check out his stats in his full game last year vs. Saints.

His overall stats:

$15M Guaranteed really isn't that bad for a starting QB, but he almost never finishes a season, so fairly risky.

Blech! At least it wasn't a long-term deal. It tells me Keim is openly acknowledging that this is nothing more than a bridge. If he somehow hits big for us (little chance of that), we have him super-cheap next season, and can franchise him after that. It means our QB situation still sucks, but we knew that was going to be the case.
