Is that actually factual correct?

He drafted the best OT 2 years ago. Top 3 position in the league and PJJ ranked 12th in the NFL at a position, where players usually do not adjust to the NFL game until their 3rd year. A lot here are screaming that PJJ isn't as good as Alt. Well, Alt only ranked 24th, so an incorrect assumption based on the best metrics we have.

Last year, he choose the by far big player name in the entire draft in MHJ.

Look, I get your point. It's frustrating for me too to see how slow development our draft picks are compared to the immediate impact players drafted in the same range. But fact is that Monti has been hitting very well on his draft picks - they are just not immediate impact players.

I only really see two questional moves made by Monti. Gaines is the only draft pick that has not made any contribution. A 4th rounder missed. Big deal...

The second one is the trade down and picking Melton. Again, a lot here are screaming on passing on DeJean. Not a valid argument IMO. He is a slot CB, where we already have Williams. DeJean and Williams are the two highest rated CBs drafted in the last two drafts BTW. We can discuss if it was a mistake to trade down and take Melton when McKinstry and Lassiter were available. That remains TBD as Melton was hot and cold with some really good games and really bad games
Yes. Beej was the perfect pick good call.

They were always going to need to address the QB position.

I appreciate Geno for his time here, but the high water mark was hit and the investment increasing for an aging QB. Rumor is the raiders will extend for a deal north of $40m

I think it's a fair deal for both sides and wish him the best

Interested to see where this goes. Not a huge fan of Darnold, but not sure he couldn't get near Geno production.

Never dull.

Any chance that Russell returns?

That would be shocking. Anything could happen, but would definitely be surprising

He pretty much torched his way out of there

I do find it interesting that Russ is available as a free agent with potential contact offset and Pete gave up a 3rd and what will be a larger contract to get Geno

He had a hamstring and a nick on his knee that made him miss 2 weeks of camp as a rookie. No relation to tearing his ACL
He had surgery post-draft and didn’t play more than 15 snaps a game for the first month of his rookie year.

He had zero sacks after November 19.

We need another top receiver to go with MHJ. Would love to get DK Metcalf in a three team trade or even pick up Cooper Kupp on a reasonable deal.

Calf strain are you being purposely obtuse? It was widely reported what his injury was, and a timeframe for possible return.
There is an entire thread on the first page of this forum wondering why and how a calf strain could put someone out for as long and DRob was.

People were arguing his injuries weren't Monti's fault when Monti literally drafted an injured player. That is directly Monti's fault. Same way Rondale Moore was Keim's fault.
Fair if it was the same injury.

Stupid argument when saying that a minor thing on one knee is related to tearing his ACL on the other knee

They are asking for a 1 and 3 for DK and he wants $30 million a year! Everything really is more expensive in Seattle!
