I wonder if at this stage of his career Wilson would mentor Murray if they signed him. Decent injury backup.

How is that related to his injury?

And how did DR’s injury after having no injury concerns when drafted come into this discussion? It’s about as relevant as the fact that our frencie is named Luna
Dude, you asserted that the only draft pick Monti made that hasn’t hit is Jon Gaines. **** with that.

I only really see two questional moves made by Monti. Gaines is the only draft pick that has not made any contribution. A 4th rounder missed. Big deal...

The second one is the trade down and picking Melton.
This is honestly hilarious

Nope.
1) I mentioned two mistakes
2) saying that Gaines is the only player without any contributions doesn’t make all the rest home runs.

But nice try trying to twist my words. Then you also don’t have to explain why you are straight up lying about DRs injury not being disclosed.

Are you a MAGA nut job? You have the same style of argumentation
Dude. Political commentary or speculation is inappropriate in this forum.
You should delete that.

It wasn’t disclosed. Not in reality. A calf strain could be a lot of different things. Certainly nothing that should mean you’re “never healthy” in your rookie season.

Cmon bro.

A calf strain is legit and can take up to 8 months to heal.
The truth sucks but it remains the truth

He would be a killer backup but I don't think so, he still sees himself as a starter. If Wilson was the backup he would have his PR team plant negative stories about Murray in the media. He's done that to Pete Carrol, Justin Fields, and Arthur Smith.

Knowing how carefully crafted Wilson's public image is, I will always be cynical about any story surrounding him. Everywhere he goes he has the typical positive PR stunts, then when things go poorly on the field there are leaks shifting the blame away from him.

A lot of players have PR teams, but I swear none are as industrious as Wilson's. I have never seen such a boring training camp story get as much widespread media attention as Justin Field's bad practice last off season. Recently "multiple sources" claimed that Arthur Smith banned Wilson from audibling out of plays right when they started losing, which the Steelers claim is an outright lie. I wonder where that story came from?

If Wilson was the backup we'd hear rumors about Murray having an all night Call Of Duty session after the second loss.

You're asking how does a rookie who was drafted injured might have had a bad rookie season? Is this a serious question? Like, you're not considering how that might set a player back in his rookie season? Pretty obvious.

Was DR injured when drafted??

Of course it had an impact on BJ rookie season, but that injury was unrelated to tearing his ACL.

I haven't mentioned DR once. I'm talking about BJ and the assertion that he wasn't injured when drafted.

Thank you for acknowledging he was drafted injred and that it did impact his rookie season. A Monti mistake.

Sorry. K9 decided to mix in DR the conversation. My bad for thinking you were jumping onboard that weird premise. Back to BJ which was the topic.

I never denied the fact that he was injured and of course it impacted his rookie season. I just to not agree to the premise that it was a mistake due to circumstances out of Monti’s control. If BJ flops this season, then I will agree with it being a mistake.

But drafting a player with a minor injury is not a mistake IMO. Very unfortunate that BJ blew out his other knee, but that doesn’t make it a mistake IMO.

Monti also drafted Williams and got him later in the draft due to that. Given your logic that was also a mistake then?

And before you answer please note that Williams was the 2nd highest rated CB of all CBs drafted in the last 3 drafts last season.
