Just heard on ESPN (Dan Patrick Show) that Sean Salisbury was offered the quarterbacks coach position by Dennis Green. He'll be in Phx on Monday to talk to the Cards.

Maybe Mark Malone, Bryan Cox, Mike Golic and Anthony Munoz will get offers next.

isn't he the guy that constantly rips the Cardinals organization..or do I have him confused with most of the other national commentators?

Yes...he does seem to be a tad harsh on the Cards!

if it gets him off the TV then fine.I can't stand to listen or see him on ESPN.Plus, who knows if that's true.I remeber a couple of years ago Ron Jaworski put out that he was offered the Eagles GM job. It's too bad that no one in Phiily, except Jaws, knew it.

Good. Then this will give him the opportunity to put-up or shut-up.

Well maybe he changed his view point of this team when he saw who the Cards hired. I think he would make a good QB coach.

Pretty soon I am going to turn on ESPN and not recognize anyone because everybody will be a coach on the Cardinals staff.

Based on What??????????????

if it gets him off the TV then fine.I can't stand to listen or see him on ESPN.

Unbelievable!!!! Are you serious????

You would consider that a justifiable reason for hiring him????

Amazing, simply Amazing.

One thing I now know I can pretty much count on with Cbus.....If I take any football situation....think......now what is the worst possible scenario that might evolve here?......and invariably Cbus will post that as an option.

:D

Don't forget Eric Allen.

Sean Salisbury???? This guy wasn't exactly a stud QB in the NFL.

You don't really want a "stud" to coach your position players, do you? I mean, Joe Greene WAS a stud DT, and look how well he did.

On the other hand, guys like Jack Del Rio and Herm Edwards weren't massively physically talented, so had to learn their position and develop platinum-quality technique and schemes. THOSE are the guys you want coaching your quality players.

Come on! Any chick who knows about football automatically gets 1 point added to her final score.....so she is a 7.1. Perfect 10 does not exist...

I really hate it when I have to agree with kerouac9 but ...

"Natural" athletes in any sport rarely make good coaches as they didn't have to learn how do do it. I know of one MA instructor who falls into this category, he is amazing to watch but is only a good teacher once you are good enough to understand him.

So I agree, the best teachers are "likely" to be the guys who had to work their butt off just to make it on a team.

I hope this is true.

I watch a lot of ESPN, and Sean Salisbury knows what he's talking about. He was a QB under Denny Green in Minni.

I really like his old school attitude, he always goes off on showboating, and isn't afraid to call out poor performances.

His weekly piece with John Clayton is great.

I think this new staff Denny puts together will be full of great coaching.

One more thing.

I personally dont like sean i think he runs his mouth too much.

I wouldn't mind seeing Eric Allen as the DB coach tho. I think really understands the game.

I don't know that Salisbury was ever much of anything. Wasn't he pretty much just a back-up QB in his limited NFL career?

I have seen the guy on ESPN several times. Certainly an opinionated individual. You would just think that someone who talks so strongly about the proper things to do would have had better numbers on the field as a QB himself. I guess knowing how to do it and being able to do it are two different things though.
