Saban throws the flag like a sissy girl. Either get it out there sooner or throw it at the kicker.

Culpepper really zeroed in on Chambers this half, hasn't even looked for anyone else it seems.

So I underestimated Pittsburg's ability to move without Ben.

Culpepper's still overated.

Watch all the Saban/Miami jockers run for cover.

Why? Miami is and will be a very good team. They pretty much dominated the game till the 4th quarter. They have ne reason to be ashamed. Pittsburgh is the SB champs and were at home. They should win.

This proves once again preseason means absolutely nothing. The Steelers are still the Steelers.

Let's hope the Cardinals are still NOT the Cardinals come Sunday.

Saban is a very good coach, but I wouldn't say that Miami is a very good team yet. Their defense is average & the Steelers eventually wore them down. Culpepper is OK, but he won't be the QB when Saban actually turns this team around. Batch is horrible, but the Steelers do what the Steelers do - they run the rock. Miami won 6 in a row last year, but beat nobody with a winning record, except New England (who benched all their starters after 1 series).

If you dont think Miami will be improved after that 9-7 last year your fooling yourself. Ok VERY good may be pushing it. But they are a quality team with a quality coach. I could easily see them winning 10 games.

Well his career has been based off zeroing in on one receiver, and when that receiver isn't Randy Moss he hasn't been real impressive.

Culpepper did what he has always done. He throws it up for grabs with the game on the line. Culpepper may be the greatest QB, in shorts, anyone has ever seen. His arm is scary. It is his head that isn't. Besides the 2 picks he threw 3 more that should have either never been thrown or picked off.

Now that he is a one legged gimpy QB, the fear by the DBs just won't be there that he will take off and burn them. Right now he is flat footed and immobile. Almost every trainig camp report film, on the South Florida local media, caught him limping around the field. The Dolphins are desperate to get the paying fan base back up to 65,000 and maybe just rushed Culpepper back too soon. Dolphin fans love to hero worship or burn their QBs. Nothing in between.

I don't think Culpepper is overrated I just think the guy is nowhere near %100. I don't even think he is %90. As Wally said he is so damn flat footed it't ridiculous. He appears to have a hitch in his giddy up. Why are they trying to fool us?

BTW..pure meltdown on finheaven.

The Fish hung with the World Champion Steelers, heck, they were beating them with 5 minutes left. I'd say they did pretty good.

i'll go one better...they played very well and in my book will be there right through the season...BUT by not establishing the running game.....

pitt did everything right...stayed with their gameplan...actually batch through more than ben usually does..they surely stopped the run...and put heat on dante...i hope we take a page out of their book on sunday...they do all the right things...i guess that's why they are the champs...ya' gotta' stop the run and establish the run to win over a season....period.

Miami has everything except an offensive line. Sound familiar?

i just posted a moment ago and didn't see your post...BUT i will repeat...over a season you have to establish a running game and stop the run to be a winner...without that the DC's will figure out in short order how to beat you...especially with a team like the Steelers that have a very fast defense (we do too)

The good teams always find a way to win, the Fish didn't. The final score is what counts, no matter who led or how close the score was.

They actually have someone who can run the rock. I never saw any Cardinal RB the last 10 years run like Fast Willie Parker does. And its not just the offensive line. WP is into the hole with an authority and quickness that neither JJ nor Shipp have.

After watching that I have more faith in the Cards ability to move the football on the ground than I did before because we have the EDGE.

those are two of the three basics of winning football...the third being ....stop the run.. teams that do this week in and week out may lose the "statistic battle" but win the war!! let's hope we can do it.
