I like to go out on the town.
Hit the floor and double down.
Casino Arizona win your way.

I'm so glad this commercial is playing 10x a game....again. :bang:

I like that better than Professor Plumlee. I understand the connection to the board game, but I am not sure what other connection there is besides the name.

I am all for waiting on nicknames until he puts a month or so in the books.

Our next game against Utah will be a good test for our young big men. Jazz have one of the best young front courts in the NBA.

If Plumlee can get at least a double double of 10/10 against them I consider that a HUGE success.

"If you're not here, you're lame!" :)

Is that what she says? I've never been able to figure it out. I guess I'll have another 500 or so opportunities to try, though.

That is my best guess. I still like the redhead who sits at the slot machine, as I posted last year. Although when she is standing at the end, she appears to have no waistline. Oh well!

The song is entertaining, as is the theme for Fulton Homes ("You're proud to own, we're proud to built").

The commercials I find entertaining are Jack-In-The-Box (although I would never buy a burger there) and Geico (although I don't have insurance with them).

My favorite commercial of all time was seeing Jack push it to the limits with the guy who was so in love with his burger that he was marrying it.

And the minister/JP said, are you ready for this?, "You may now eat the bride." Cracked me up. Oops! :D

You're only planning to watch a couple of games? If you count how often it repeats during sleep, I probably hear it 500 times per night in season. It's almost as bad as leaving Disneyland with kids that keep singing "It's a Small World After All".

Len will have to log more than 8 minutes in that game, regardless of how many Morri we have on the active roster.

Great answer. Even with SoCal traffic, huh? :)

Just get in the Disneyland Express lane and you'll be there in no time. Okay, they don't actually have a Disneyland Express lane but they really should.

My favorite moment at Disneyland - When Vlade was a young Laker, I set on the curb and smoked a cigarette with him. We didn't talk much but I'm sure the moment resonated with him too. Fortunately I quit smoking years ago because these days I think you'd get arrested if you tried to light up there now.

It does, now, but I come from a generation where you could smoke inside many movie theaters (the Kachina in Scottsdale for example). Some colleges allowed you to smoke in class. I've never seen a Church that allowed you to smoke inside but I wouldn't be shocked to discover there were some. I know the one I attended as a youth the smokers would congregate right outside the entrance where the Paster stood to welcome or thank visitors and regulars.

Hospitals not only allowed you to smoke in certain patient rooms, you could also smoke in their cafeterias. Doctors, movie stars and athletes advertised cigarettes. When I joined the army they still included small packs of smokes in our Field Rations. Even in the 90's, if you sat down at a Poker table in Vegas (or So Cal) you were likely to be surrounded by not just cigarettes but pipes and cigars too. It's a different world today and I'm sure the non-smokers are grateful - I know I am.

Ah, I remember how we couldn't wait to hear, "Smoke 'em if you got 'em."

I'm trying to remember what we did with the ashes. It wasn't to put them in our cuffs because we bloused our fatigues.

Do you remember, Steve?

BTW, I am so glad my former wife insisted I give up cigarettes when we got back from our honeymoon. I had a hacking cough and yellow fingers and I am sure my lungs were turning black.

A few years ago, a fraternity brother of mine died of lung cancer because he insisted on smoking (filterless Camels, to boot) his whole adult life.

In my day you could ash all you want but the butt better never hit the ground. It was pretty standard practice to flip the cherry off the end of the cig, field strip the remainder, put the butt in your fatigue pocket and then use your boot to put an end to the flame. BTW, I started out smoking Lucky Strikes and Pall Malls, both filterless, but switched to Winston and Camel filters in my early teens. And go Suns (just in case we're getting precariously close to that OT warning).:)

I was expecting a more serious answer.

My bad, I thought you were setting me up with a straight line. It's hard to answer that as Phoenix isn't just one place and traffic patterns vary by time of day but somewhere in the 6 to 8 hour range I would think.

Ah, the good old days! I was (and still am) a cigar smoker so I was not allowed to smoke in some places - like airplanes. The funny thing is that guys who had given up smoking (at a wife's or doctors behest) used to come visit my office while I was smoking - even a janitor who'd stand in the doorway inhaling it as we chatted. I used to prevent smoking in meetings - as soon as someone got out a cigarette, I'd pull a big maduro(black) stogie out of my pocket and say, "Are we going to smoke or not smoke?" It was often an idle threat because I didn't smoke in the morning but they didn't know that.
