Do you think the 4-2 Bengals are any good?

I think a West Coast team going to the east Coast and beating a team that's 4-2 (and otherwise 4-1) is a very good win.

I have given the 49ERS credit for their win yesterday. I watched almost the entire game and there weren't too many breaks that went against them, and that has been the case most of the year.

so, are you calling them lucky? Bad teams MAKE bad breaks. That's what the Cardinals do.

They are a well coached, good defensive-minded team. There's nothing wrong with that. However, they are going to have to score to beat the elite teams and that's where they are lacking.

they just scored 48 against the division leading Bucs and 25 on the road against the previous undefeated Lions. They're averaging 28 ppg. i'd love to be lacking like that.

Hence, my doubts about them and call them an incomplete team.

um... no one's calling them a complete team. Everyone's just saying what's clearly obvious... they are head and shoulders above everyone in our division and are running away with it at this point.

They're a decent that has things going their way and are taking advantage of them.

i just don't get the "things going their way"... everyone talks about the murder it is for West Coast teams to go East and they've traveled more than any other team this season... and consistently won when they've done so.

If the Cards had gotten a few breaks and were sitting at 4-1, I wouldn't be talking them up either because I wouldn't think they were all that great either.

I think a good comparison for SF is the Chiefs last year. I never thought they were very good but they won the weak division.

I can see that... but even then, that division wasn't NEARLY as pathetic as ours. That division actually had two 8-8 teams. We'll be lucky if there's a six win team in ours which is why people are saying San Fran's pretty much a lock. Think about it... they still get us (who they own) 2 more times and the Rams two more times. Right there that's probably at worst 3 more wins.

it doesn't look good for Cards fans....season looks to be toast.

5-1 SF with a dang good defense....speaks volumes...and just beat a 5-0 team on the road....impressive.

What do you think? Is there time to fix it before the Cardinals are out of the playoff race?

We are cooked, over cooked and done. We are likely last in our division and will compete for the worst team in the NFL. A couple of more losses and you will see the players stop risking their careers for nothing. They will be reluctant to risk injury and this will build upon itself. All the Kings horses and all the Kings men could not or will not put Humpty Dumpty back together again. Sorry to be so negative but it is what it is.

Eh. Matters on what the expectations were from the individual.

At the beginning of the year many were talking 8-8 and 7-9.

Success for me would be a non-double digit loses season, and some improvement by this team to build on.

The team would have to go 6-5 for the rest of the year.....don't see it happening.

Only if Kolb become what we thought he was and Whiz and his coordinators find a brain.

Well 1 - 4 is certainly not the start we would have wanted especially with the teams we have to play after the bye week.

But we still have to play the Rams and 49ers twice so these are all must win games. 1 loss to the 9ers and that will be it for the season in terms of playoffs.

Having said that, if we show improvement, blooding new players, getting the deadwood to sit on the bench ( yes Joey Porter , and sorry to say it but i mean Clark Haggans also) and show some changes and improvements then I will go into next season with the usual optimism when we are 0-0.

But Whis never comes out firing after the bye week. We always seem to come out flat.

I admire guys who still can figure out ways we can salvage the season. Once I was like that.

My family lives up that way as I grew up an hour from the bay.....lots of niner fans..... funny how they will not even mention the niners in my presence, lol.

Yes they are for real. How much of that is because of the new headcoach?

Probably a lot. Look what CKW was able to do with Denny Green's roster. The SF situation is very similar to the Cardinals in 2007. Let's just hope that Harbaugh blows up that roster like Graves and CKW did Green's. Then we might be able to catch up to them.

I expected 5-6 wins this year, not a lot different from last year, but I expect close games. I still think John Skelton is the best QB we have.

All I ask for is some improvement in each game. We seem to get worse with each game. Our QB and DB's are certainly getting worse with each game. Jefferson is being eating alive. Wilson's age has caught up with him. Our super hero #1 pick is just ordinary so far and our best DB is hurt. I still wonder if our QB has a heart or why can he not stay in the pocket, if only on occasion. Kurt Warner, the old man, would stand in there and take his hits long enough to put the ball in the WR hands. We all have to wonder about Whiz and both the DC and OC. Neither show any innovation. Our competitors seem to know our game plan better than we do. Why so many ex Pittsburgh players and coaches on this team? Is that a plus or minus? It is no accident these guys are here and it is not because of Graves the only GM that does not seem to understand his job description. I get this feeling that Bidwill Jr has had enough and Bidwill Sr. does not care that much as long as the bottom line meets his expectations.

The Cards were out of the playoff race when the season opened. We are very likely in the hunt for last place in our division or even the NFL. I feel sorry for me but just think how those players feel that have to go out there each week. Would you not like to be a fly on the wall and hear who they place as the primary blame on this teams failures. In real life failure always begins at the top and filters on down and we end up blaming the wrong people. This is not a real life type of organization. One might say we have no organization as I understand the meaning of organization. We are almost a Monarchy if the truth be known.

When the giants scored two TDs in the final couple of minutes of the game at UOP, that was pretty much it.

Sure, it wasn't technically over. I guess Jesus could have decended from heaven and performed some type of miracle upon the 2011 season, and we would end up 9-7 or 10-6.

But the fact is that teams that are on their way to winning records never lose home games like that. Never.
