Is Myers' days numbered as a Diamondback? Randolph looked sharp and Oropesa looks good too. Maybe trade Mantei, Patterson and Myers for a bat.

We should be able to get alot for those 3.

We gave up a top prospect for Myers (Cust) - remember, LHP are rare and valued.

Fireballing closers should get us help as well, but Mantei's contract might weigh him down.

Any suggestions on who to go after?

Who to trade for ?

With the last poster that asked who would we trade for !

My vote goes to Vladimir Guerrero. Sure he is hurt right now, but he is young and maybe in the top 10 players in the majors. At 27 he still has another 7+ years of top notch production. Plus this is the first year he has been hurt since 98 I think ? I would give the Expos someone young and throw in Matt Mantei. If they were willing I would also throw in Womack for a six pack as well.

Diamondbacks WIN!!! That's nine in a row. Let's hope they get the record tomorrow. Hey Dback Jon, it looks like it's you and me on this year-long thread until the others catch on. Let's hope this thread continues all the way to the World Series in October. Just think, Randy, Curt, Shea, Spivey, Mantei, Koplove, Prinz and Bautista are on the DL and all will be joining the team soon. The season is getting exciting.

The point of trading Myers is not to get something in return, but rather to dump him

Glad Myers finally had a good outing - for both the team and his sake. Whether we keep or trade him, we need him looking good.

I sort of had a thought that they could get Carlos Beltran from KC...they want two major league ready guys in return. I say John Patterson and Danny Bautista and all of the sudden we have a really nice rightfielder with speed and a gun for an arm.
