Quote from Victor Rojas early in Sunday's game --

"Danny Bautista had 4 RBI's and 3 runs scored yesterday. So is he in the starting lineup today? No!" (And that was before Danny went in for Gonzo and got a hit in his first AB, while Finley remains hitless.)

Brennaman and Rojas have been more critical of the Manager than all of us on this board put together.

And rightfully so! Brenly has negated his alibi for his cockeyed lineups -- going with the hot hand, which Victor referred to later in the game.

I hate to mention it but three guys are to blame for this loss. Shea, Junior and Finley are not patient when they are at the plate. All three swing at strike three when the pitch hits the front of the plate. They can't afford to lose games like this when there is only 32 games left. They need to put a hurt on the Padres the next three games.

that was absolutely pathetic. Errors by Spivey, Hildebrand can't pick up a routine ball in the dirt or hit with guys in scoring position and then Spivey and Fins swing at the dirt with bases loaded - absoluetly pathetic.

Might as well have been a perfect game by Clement - I wouldn't be nearly as mad!! Hillenbrand looks overmatched at the plate, Finley is slumping badly, our defense was crappy today, BB somehow forgot that Bautista blasted the hell out of the ball Saturday, leaving the "hot hand" on the bench until Gonzo was ejected, we left bases loaded in the ninth w/one out....

I personally can't wait for the roster expansion, so we FINALLY bring up some players from Tucson that could actually help this team!!

Cintron with a 2-run home run. 2-0 Diamondbacks and they're still in the first.

Hammock hits a 2-run homer and it is 6-1. This offense needs to show up every day.

7-4 Diamondbacks in the bottom of the 5th. Randy taken for a pinch-hitter. Randy looked a little uncomfortable.

The bats have come out tonight. I wonder if the players had a talk after yesterday's loss? 11-4 in the top of the 7th.

Diamondbacks win 11-8! Only 1.5 games behind the wild card. MVP goes to Cintron, Gonzo and Hammock. Props to Kata and Mantei.

The Marlins lost 4-3 and the Phillies were winning 10-3 and blew it and now are losing 11-10 in the 8th to the Expos. Larry Bowa is a horrible manager. He took out Padilla and now his bullpen blew that huge lead.

The Phillies lost 14-10, Yes!!! Larry Bowa is going to get crucified by the media. Wow, I can't imagine what it's like in the Phillies lockerroom.

Cintron scores on a wild pitch. 3-0 Diamondbacks in the 3rd.

you know what scares the pis out of me - I have more faith in Elmer Dessens right now than I do Randy Johnson. Nice game so far - keep it going boys - gotta take the remainders of this homestand - sweep the pads and take three of four from the Giants and we'll be in good shape.
