From ESPN's coverage of the Senior Bowl(free 30 day insider trial).

Matt Jones- runs a 4.65 which is slower than Arkansas advertised, long strider builds up speed he's not quick. Showed better hands than expected, tough to bring down, fools guys who think they have the angle. But the overwhelming problem everyone had with Jones all week was his apparent lack of interest, he acts like he doesn't "love football" and instead of coming off as laid back, he came off as lazy. Even played some QB at one point, didn't look good, and then went back to WR but seemed unhappy about it. Sounds like a guy who hasn't quite accepted he's not a QB anymore.

Jason Campbell- showed improvement, good not great arm, very inaccurate downfield, can't see the whole field, constantly missing 2nd Wr's who are open but he doesn't see them. Can't throw moving to his left.

Kyle Orton- after everyone said he hurt himself at the Shrine game by not playing well, he apparently shook off the rust, had the strongest arm at the Senior Bowl(one of the questions on him) and impressed everyone.

Charlie Frye- hurt himself, didn't show strong arm, seemed to really be struggling with the better speed he was seeing after playing in the MAC, gained confidence as the week went on, natural leader, best QB there at understanding the system, but didn't show enough arm strength.

Basically they said the Senior Bowl confirmed that Rogers and Smith are better than any of the senior QB's.

Based on what I saw in the game (Senior Bowl) Frye is right behind Smith and Rodgers. I really liked what I saw from him. Watching him play I kept thinking.. Roethlesberger, Brees, Brady, etc.

I think he is going to be successful in the NFL.

I like Frye too but they were really hammering on his lack of arm.

I particularly liked his seam pass to TE (the other) Alex Smith off a high release point. (One of the beautiful things to watch when the Viking pass offense is smokin' is when Culpepper hits Moss with close-line throws 6½ - 7 feet off the ground where no one else can get to the ball).

One reason I watch stuff with the sound turned off is because otherwise it's too easy to let the announcers influence your take on a player. (Sometimes I get the feeling that some kid's Dad, brother-in-law or agent has somehow convinced an anncr to say nice things about him).

Final point - the teevee showed a 5 - 10 second b-roll of Frye in an interview with Rod Graves.

I was going to point that out before, but I dont know if I should be happy, since I have never seen the guy play before I saw the senior bowl.

Senior Bowl might change due to no excitment and no big stars.Too many big stars not showing up and the ones that do don't play because of some little bitty hurt. They may start asking some of the Big-Time non-seniors to play.

I knew LeFors would ruin everything by being the only player to really put on a show for the people and unable to play in the Senior Bowl.
I want him.

I'd rather have Orton than any of the others. Smart kid, throws pretty well, and way undervalued because some injuries slowed him this past year. Still a heck of a passer schooled the exact same way that Brees was by Tiller at Purdue.

I want him in the 2nd, which is where I think we'd have to take him, because he's going to have a good combine. He's my bandwagon player for now :D

LeFors reminds me alot of Drew Brees except that he can scramble better.

He's not even rated among some draft books' top ten QB's.

He's only listed at 6-0 to 6-1 in height and this probably is dragging him down. I have him rated around 7th - behind Smith, Frye, Walter, Campbell, Orton and Rodgers. But that's me - Based on the buzz, I expect him to drop somewhere into the second day - maybe even off the edge of the cliff into undrafted free agency.

You are probably correct about LeFors but Louisville has many players that will be drafted so many miles of tape will be looked at.I would think that someone while running tapes checking WRs and RBs would notice all those pinpoint throws and running for 1st downs and think man that kid is good.
