Trades are a part of the NBA, Shaq can't deal with that? It's not like the Suns didn't want him here, they just thought it would be better to move on and get younger and better. Wake up Shaq don't be a complete ass with this. Amare could have done the same thing.

The Suns have more drama than General Hospital.

Younger yes. Better? How so? We'd get a late first round pick and a player that isn't as good. So, we wouldn't be as good in the short term and maybe not even long term.

Sorry I meant, by coming out of the contract of Shaq, we could get younger and move towards a better future. Having Ben Wallace on the team doesn't exactly make us better lol. Shaq really disappointed me today and I've been a huge Shaq fan. He basically said "I quit" with this action. How as a Suns fan can I trust him to play 100 percent anymore? It's not possible.

No, he's understandably upset. Hopefully he will be talked to about it and it will just blow over. It's just one event, lets not blow it out of proportion. ;) I'm still fully behind Shaq.

Sarver has openly admitted on the local radio in two interviews that he was ready to trade Shaq to Cleveland for Ben Wallace and a first round pick. Had they not played well the last two games, it was a done deal.

So no, it was not a media created thing.

The one I listened to with Sarver, he admitted only that teams had made offers and he listened. When asked how close he was to making a trade Sarver said and I quote "not close". He admitted that there were some options available to save money but he was not going to make a bad basketball move. He then went on to say that he would worry about the money side of things next year if the team was not playoff caliber.

At no time did he say a deal was done or was almost made. He also indicated lots of offers for Amare. In the end he was not going to trade a young talent in Amare without getting a similar caliber player in return.

Then Kerr reinforced that in the interview I heard same day. Sounded more like to me lots of offers on the table (especially for Amare) but in the end none of them were worth it.

I'm not sure Shaq is really mad about anything at all. He is such a great actor...

Assuming he is with some feeling, let's guess what is really the reason. Insulted to be trade for Ben? Or pity for missing the chance of win again with Lebron?

By the way, the Cavs is certainly a great team, but obviously they are still just #3 or #4 in the league, firmly behind the Laker and Celtics, tie with the Magic and Spurs. They could really use Shaq to push over the top. Pity for them.

I really don't care. By all accounts he is not going to treat the guys in the locker room any different a al Marion and I don't feel bad for media guys. As long as the guy shows up on game day he can do what he wants to the media.

Sheesh, why is everyone acting so surprise. Personally i am impressed it took him this long. I am certain it wont be the last either. Shaq wont be complete if he didn't pull one of his drama.
As long as he plays well for this team......Who Cares!!!!

I am predictable and naive? THIS IS ALL SPECULATION, nothing has been denied or confirmed. I said "maybe its about the media", do you not read entire posts or just the parts that confuse you?

Listen, I am a Shaq fan and everyone knows it. But I also know that nothing is known for sure until it is confirmed. So me not placing blame on Shaq because I have no facts is credible. People doing the other, isn't.

If you read all the medias, in general, Shaq is being greatly DISRESPECTED. Especially those national media, ESPN, NBC, etc. Most of experts are saying Shaq is "untradable", that no team would want him. Reading them, I have the feeling that they all deliberately ignore his great performance this season ...

I am all for telling the media where to go and what to do when they get there, but it should be done in a way that is not detrimental to the team.

What part is speculation Andrew!??!

The part where he was quoted as saying he doesnt want to talk to the media because he "isnt part of the team" ????

Or the part where he cleared his locker other than his "warmups and deoderant."

Youre not willing to accept that those are true? Someone could have made it up? Warmups and deodorant are mere details in a conspiracy to defame Shaq??? Really? Seriously?

WTF man.

That statement could have been taken out of context, you have no idea why or how he said it or if he followed up on it at all. What is wrong with a guy doing whatever the hell he wants to do with his locker? I did that when I was in high school, was I pissed at the media too?

I simply don't know if those are true, there is no acceptance on my part because of it. You are putting words in my mouth and I don't appreciate it. Rather than attack me and my opinion, respect it like a civil human being or else hold it in.

I am done with this discussion.

shaq has to clear his head

yeah he is staying here at least for the rest of this season and I can understand that he hates the media now but with this action it he also destroys some team chemistry which is not what we need.
