State a shocker and justify it with some kind of logic, even if flawed, from Cards point of view.

With the 24th pick in the 2015 NFL Draft the Arizona Cardinals select: WR: Breshad Perriman, Central Florida

Berman: "Well Mel, that is a bit of a surprise pick for the Cards considering their other needs."

Kiper: "It actually makes a lot of sense, Chris. I had Perriman in my top 10 players on my Big Board. So in that sense it is a real steal. The Cards thinking is probably that Larry Fitzgerald could become a UFA the day after next year's super bowl, so they will need a replacement to be their #1 WR. And assuming their draft position will not be much better than it was this year, they are unlikely to get a player of Perriman's ability and upside next year. Even if Larry wants to greatly reduce his salary to play another year or two with Arizona, it will give Perriman that much more time to learn from one of the best ever WRs. I think it is a smart move, Chris, besides being what up to this point is the steal of the draft."

Shocker for me would be if the Cards took Dorial Green-Beckham WR out of Oklahoma/Missouri.

I could understand a WR. If the talent is much higher than anything else available. But I'm not seeing it happen

Kyle Loomis P, Portland St.

(Note: I wouldn't mind drafting a punter this year, and this guy might go first among the punters.)

That's funny because if you look at my mock I was seriously thinking about Perriman.

Heck if you are going to draft an outlaw why not pick Peters? at least we would

fill a need. I would be scared to death of DGB and Peters.:D

Arians says he can play the team that Keim has given him already and be successful------he is open to taking the best player at ANY position with our first pick-------that's a great position to be in

Yes. It's a big difference when you can lure the right players here in FA.

I heard today that Perriman had something like a 14% drop rate at UCF. That's very high and, to me, bad hands are bad hands so I doubt he becomes a sure handed WR in the NFL.

Any of these guys who are in PFF's Mock Draft - Round 1 (which is basically considering team needs and how their rating system ranked players) that I haven't seen on anyone's radar as a round 1 pick:

Henry Anderson, Defensive Interior, Stanford (#15)
Trey Flowers, Edge, Arkansas (#21)
Grady Jarrett, Defensive Interior, Clemson (#23)
Hau’oli Kikaha, Edge, Washington (#24 -- well, except for Mitch a few weeks ago)
Troy Hill, CB, Oregon (#32)

They don't have Bud Dupree anywhere in their 2 round mock. It definitely isn't an attempt to predict what will happen, but just an alternate perspective.

If the pass rushers or the CB are not there at #24, I could see trading back, late first, early second and selecting Devin Smith, WR, OSU.

Which is why you take Gurley if he is there.
