Now that it is out and you have had a chance to own one , should I buy one for my kids for Christmas.

D-Dogg said:Yes, to a degree on the first part. Most of the Xbox library is backwards compatible, but not all yet. Halo 2 is, and you can play it online XBOX 360 Live. A list is here:

No on the second; the games for 360 will not play on the old xbox. The system is backwards compatible, not the games themselves.
