This guy was my favorite Card but I'm done with him. His rants at the beginning of the season, then the NFC championship act and you know he's talkin crap at the probowl. Check out the end of this interview. I think it is totally disrespectful to the organization and I don't buy his crap that the team lied to him.

They tried to negotiate with him but his agent wouldn't return their calls and said they would wait until Fitz deal was done. Well we didn't have a choice but to pay Fitz what we did because he hit all his escalators and you know what? He is worth every penny. Q is a great receiver but he is no Fitz and he never will be in terms of talent or class. Shut up Boldin! Forget trading him just make him play out his contract and if he becomes a distraction put his ass on the IR as soon as he gets injured because you know he will. OK I'm done.

I agree Reddog, I'm sick of players under contract thinking along with their agent they can hold a team hostage. In fairness, I also think teams should be held to the contracts they sign as well. Why even have contracts when the words on paper mean less than the mouths that start bitchin'

Actually that was pretty funny. What do you expect him to do when approached by CP just duck his head and walk away or have a good time with it. Its no secret that Q is HUGELY RESPECTED by players and coaches around the league and there are a ton of them that would love him lining up with or for them on Sundays.

Thats the problem with the NFL. Teams arent required to live up to contracts and can cut players at any given time. You guys are acting like hes slapping you personally in the face. NEWS FLASH! He isnt!

as I said, contracts need to start meaning exactly what they are suppose to mean...the guy will play it out fully to his best ability and be paid fully for his services regardless of what takes place

That's why there are signing bonuses. Those are guaranteed whether a player performs or gets injured and never plays again.

I'll bet Boldin was VERY happy when he signed his last extention.

IM sure he was at the time. But now he isnt. Signing bounses are fine. They have those in the NBA too as well as guaranteed contracts something the NFL doesnt have.

Whether Q is as good as Fitz or not is irrelevant. The simple fact is that if you add up his bonuses and Fitz since they have been in the NFL they arent even in the same hemisphere. Q has more than outplayed his salary and while he doesnt deserve Fitz money he does deserve more than hes being paid. 3 Pro bowls and numerous NFL records show that.

Sick of it also. Trade him for what you can get which could be significant and move on.

We will survive quite well without him.

That was gonna be the case regardless. Fitz was drafted #3 overall he was going to get paid higher than a 2nd rounder(like Q was) in his rookie contract. The Cardinals DID rip up Boldin's rookie deal after 2 seasons, Boldin signed that deal(a $22.75 million deal with $13.25 in bonuses), he wasn't forced to, then 2 years after that he demands for that contract to be renegotiated? Thats too soon. Going by that should we expect him to ask for a new deal every 2 years no matter the length of the contract he signed?

A timeline: 2003 Boldin is drafted signs his rookie deal...summer of 2005 team gives him a new deal...2007 Boldin asks for another deal (he says in an interview they've been trying for 2 years so I am assuming he means the 2007 offseason)

We all understand he wants to get paid but the organization never forced his hand to sign that contract extension in 2005. At that time he and the team were happy with the deal.

Of course at this point we have no idea what the Cardinals have offered or what he is demanding...not in terms of value or contract length.

Well thats just it your assuming Q asked for another contract after two years. When it is highly possible that Q WAS TOLD by Graves that if he made it to multiple PB's we will rework your deal making you a top 10 WR.

That isnt Q's fault for being told that nor is it his fault for expecting what he his told. That my friend is where the problem lies.

The best thing for Q and Drew.. Well maybe I should say the best thing for Drew, its to turn Cards fans against Q, so Drew can get his %.. The more we talk about about hating Q and his stance, the less bargaining chips the Cards have in dealing him..

This isnt Q talking, its Drew..

Its both of them talking. The fact that he refused to even talk until Fitz deal was done meant there was no room for compromise. He expected Fitz money which was high because of all the bonuses he hit and there was no way he was ever going to get it. I really do not expect this team to cave for he or his agent. He will get traded only if the deal is right. The days of letting guys like Boston leave with no comp are over so while Q is anything but a David Boston he will not force the team to get any less than he is worth.

The guy is a heck of a WR. As I recall, he was just as amazing as Fitzgerald most of the time. He didn't really shine in the post-season, but he was really good, the rest of the time.

He may be whiney, but he can play football really well. I don't want any player who will be a big part in winning games to leave my team.

Joke? Really? Soft spots? Where you coming from splitsecond 2009 Cards fan?

I am talking about the JOKE video that was linked in the original bitchfest that starts the thread. You know, the one where Q does nothing but laugh at what Portis is saying.

Yep. It takes ALOT of nerve to register in January of 2009 and insult people. What a joke

I will address both of your idiotic comments at once: I don't spend much time on SPORTS forums because they are CHOCK FULL of people who think the know everything, and it irritates me to no end. To top that off, when I registered for THIS site in particular has absolutely no bearing on when I "became a fan". I have been going to games when I could (my parents were not "sports people) with a friend who had season tickets since probably 1996. I finally am in a position in life to purchase season tickets, and I have gone to as many games as I could afford (and some I couldn't) since I moved back to AZ in 2006.

I signed up here because I was looking for a parking pass for a game, and figured I would stick around and see what it was like.
Guess what? It is just like every other sports forum around: some smart, thoughtful posters, and way too many morons who know nothing, and think they know everything.
