Adam Bergen
TE, Lehigh
War Room analysis
Strengths: Has terrific hands. Can catch the ball on the run and make catches over his shoulder. Is tough and aggressive after the catch. Takes good angles into open-field blocks and is technically sound. Plays with a mean streak.

Weaknesses: Must add bulk and strength in his lower body. Lacks great pop as a blocker. Struggles to hold his ground at the point of attack. Must improve at running routes; doesn't break crisply. Hasn't faced elite-level competition.

Bottom line: Bergen's lack of quickness and speed raise concerns about his ability to separate from NFL defenders but he is moving up the charts. He needs time to develop and would be a good fit for a team that has an established veteran tight end. He has enough potential to be a fourth-round pick.

Dan Pompei analysis
Well built, works hard and has good intangibles. Hands are reliable. As a receiver, is limited by lack of speed and quickness. Is above average as a blocker, but not dominant. Must get stronger. Had the best vertical jump and broad jump among tight ends at the Combine.

Overall grade: 5.207 (High 4th round grade)
Position rank: 6
Blocking: 6
Hands: 6
Patterns: 6
Release: 6
Run after catch: 6
NFL comparison: Jason Witten, Cowboys

War Room analysis
Strengths: Is instinctive, intelligent and technically sound. Is aggressive and tough against the run. Takes solid angles and wraps up in the open field. Shows great range against the run. Has good power and pop as a tackler. Is decent in zone coverage.

Weaknesses: Must improve lower-body bulk and strength. Lacks great change-of-direction skills. Is a bit long-legged; hip movement is stiff. Lacks good awareness in coverage. Although dominant in college, didn't face elite competition.

Bottom line: Francisco has an impressive combination of size and speed. He is aggressive against the run and shows great leadership skills. He is a liability, however, in man coverage and has limited range in zone coverage. He would be better served by having played in a better college conference. At best, Francisco will find a spot on the bottom half of the roster as a special-teams contributor. He projects as a late Day 2 selection or an undrafted free agent signee.

Dan Pompei analysis
Is active, and flows to the ball. Hits hard. Shows good hustle. Is best suited in a zone-heavy scheme; isn't a top athlete. Shows marginal coverage skills. Lacks ideal speed. No. 32 on Pompei's safety rankings

Overall grade: 3.405 (6th round grade)
Position rank: 22

NAU RB Roger Robinson. Don't know anything about him just passing on the news.

Return Man like McCoy.

Roger Robinson
RB, Northern Arizona
War Room analysis
Robinson is spending the postseason by training in New Orleans, and reports from his pro day workout show he's spending his time well. Two things stood out -- his physical conditioning and his test performances. Robinson cut about a half-second off his 40 time, added 10 pounds of muscle and showed good strength when lifting. He also had good numbers in his quickness drills and jumps.

Teams are taking notice, spending time with him to review game film and get a better evaluation. His stock also is helped by his potential as a return specialist.
Height: 5-9 Weight: 202
40-yard dash: 4.37

Robinson is improving his chance of getting a second look from teams and, if not making his way into a late-round pick at least has a shot to get into a pro training camp.

Dennis mentioned thatthere were other rookies the Cardinals hoped to sign and alluded to a total of 15 or so rookies who'd be coming to camp.

Add 7 draft picks to the 3 above and that leaves 5 more we can expect to hear about.

I'm really happy about Bergen, who was on everyone's radar. I've got a dilemma judging one of the Mock Draft Challenge entries. Someone projected that Bergen would be drafted as a Cardinal. But technically he's an UDFA. Still, I'm inclined to score that as a "get." (Maybe it will help break a tie).

Notice Green drafted or brought in some local Harrisburg PA guys
I'm still thinking about the Valley Forge connection as well - i.e. whether Fitz knows the kid or played against him somewhere.

Oh, whenever anyone mentions Harrisburgh, I keep remembering that its "real" (Native American) name was Paxtang. It was a key crossing point across the Susquehanna River from east to west.

Yep, Bergen was my top UDFA, too. Seems like a good fit and was rated as the best TE not drafted. Another player I would really like to take a chance on is Albert Means from Memphis. Our only Two-Gap DT is Davis and he's not even a true Two-Gap DT. Means would be perfect to challenge for depth if Wendell falls flat on his face again this year. (I'm really hoping that he doesn't) Means could be insurance if it happens and could be a good player to take up space.

Awesome - NAU's best offensive weapon. Last year was a little bit of a down year, but the prior year, when the Jacks made the playoffs and beat the #1 team in I-AA on the road, Robinson was a big part of that.

Can run, catch and return.

I agree on picking up a DT. That just about the only area where this team hasn't done anything this offseason. We have the same players as last year. If not a UDFA signing, then maybe look to pick up a free agent.

Man, I hope Aaron sticks. Great fit for this team. High character guy, hustles his guts out, fantastic special teamer, and doesn't look anything like a 4.75 40 guy on the field.

Wow I'm surprised he didn't get drafted at all. He could back up AW or he can be a Special Teams dynamo for us. Good signing.

Jeff, remember, no H at the end of Harrisburg.

I used to drive by the sign for Paxtang constantly when taking 83 across the river (lived in Lemoyne for a time). Memories.
