To be fair, I think some stuff has happened to him that's gorwing him up from ep to ep and season to season. But, I agree. And, I think that "definitive ending" also needs to cement Lex as hopelessly evil (thus far, they've always balanced his asshattery with a glint of goodness). Maybe Lex kills Lana and that sets everyone on their course.

Speaking of that, just watch Thursday.

I feel like the universe (or at least my DVR) is conspiring against me when it comes to watching Smallville. It didn't record the ep on Thursday.

It doesn't look like the WB is re-airing it anytime soon, and they don't offer full episodes on the web site. Any ideas as to where I can get it?

Thanks!

You're out of luck for now--but it will probably repeat sometime in the next couple months.

Damn. Any major plot points I need to know before I see next week's?

I haven't seen it yet myself, but obviously you know that Lionel Luthor was killed by Lex, who is now pretty much completely evil. That's all you really need to know. :)

Actually, I didn't know that. I don't watch much else on TV other than what I record, so I don't generally see any previews.

Thanks for the heads-up.

I really hope the payoff at the end of the series is worth my 6+ years investment in this show.

If you go to the website and check out the trailer (it's a generic that's running the rest of the season, you can see some cool stuff).
...like Lex discovering the Fortress of Solitude.

That'd be awesome! Lana sucks.

According to the CW, Michael Rosenbaum will be leaving Smallville.

Here's Rosenbaum's statement:

Dear Smallville Fans,

Well, it's been seven wonderful years. Your support is what has made Smallville so successful, and I appreciate you all more than you know.

That being said, it is time for me to start the next chapter of my life and career. I hope that I gave you some enjoyment over the years, and that you found my portrayal of Lex Luthor to be satisfying. I am truly grateful, as Smallville fans are the best fans out there. I sincerely hope that you will continue to follow my career through my hair growth period and beyond.

I'm very excited about what the future holds, but certainly, Smallville will always be a part of me. I will definitely miss the greatest crew in the world, and the wonderful cast that has been like a family to me.

Thank you Al and Miles for creating the show. Thank you writers, producers, directors and editors. Thanks Tollin, Robbins and Davola for being there for the pilot. Thank you Peter Roth for employing me for ten years. Lisa Lewis, I miss you already. John Glover, thanks for helping me feel more comfortable touching other actors, while acting. Bizarre, but helpful.

Mostly, I want to thank Greg Beeman for directing the "Oh Sherry" video, by Steve Perry, back in the 80's.

Thanks crew. Thanks fans. Thanks Smallville.

I love you all,

Michael Rosenbaum

I thought next year was supposed to be the last season? Seems odd that he'd leave at the game at the two-minute mark.

The producers have known that he'd only go 7 seasons for quite some time--at least since before Season 6.

I liked last nights episode finally an explanation of how Oliver became the Green Arrow instead of the spoiled rich kid.

Its pretty good DCR but if he doesn't fly this season I am DONE! Its ridiculous how long they have drug this out and he doesn't fly yet. He knows he can or supposed to be able too he just simply doesn't try and thats just silly, he needs to fly this season or I may give up on this show.

So what's up with the EMT guy? I'm sure he'll have a power that will be revealed.

I hope they don't ruin Chloe's engagement with this guy. Frankly I'm surprised Chloe has let him off the hook. I can think of at least 2 times now he has made his way into her house/office prior to her arriving. Something isn't right there.

Don't worry, there is no conceivable way that Chloe winds up with Davis Bloome (the paramedic). He's DOOMSDAY for chrissakes! (That is not a spoiler since it has been advertised since August)
