Just a head's up here.

Kent Somers' blog today is about his thoughts on the the offensive line...and I think you will really be interested in reading his take. Chime in on the discussion. It's a good one.

Darren Urban's article on Kurt Warner is excellent. Check it out.

Can anyone please set up the links? Alas, I am a total ludite when it comes to these things. Thanks mates!

The offensive line situation for 2010 is interesting considering how much talent on the line. Grimm likes a lot of the late round guys, which is why I don't think the Cardinals jump at a tackle early this year like many are predicting early. They've been gushing about Brandon Keith for a while now, it'd be nice to see what he can do.

I totally agree with Shogun in regards to the Cardinals not drafting an offensive lineman high, unless we decided to take a LT, but I have a feeling that the Cardinals are ready to move Levi to the left side. No facts to back this up, but just a hunch. I also can't see us drafting linemen early which would make our already young offensive line younger.

We will probably grab some more developmental guys in the 4-7 round range and continue to develop depth.

A lot of his time in Preseason was at RG, where he's not as natural. Kick him back to the edge!

I think you're right & might be a good idea playing Keith at RT with Leinart at QB, given Levi's habit of falling asleep sometimes with his pass blocking.

Wells and Bridges are 7 year vets. Latui 4 years. Sendlein and LBrown 3 years. So I wouldn't say we really have a young offensive line.

Right tackle Levi Brown -- The expectations are high for Brown, the fifth overall pick in 2007. He hasn't lived up to that draft status. He was inconsistent in pass blocking, but coaches feel like that was a matter of bad technique rather than lack of athleticism. It was interesting that Ken Whisenhunt challenged Brown after Brown was named a Pro Bowl alternate. The Cardinals want, and need, more from him. But people in the know tell me he was the team's most consistent offensive lineman in 2009, and coaches were especially pleased with the way he improved over the final month of the season.
If it's bad technique then why isn't Grimm working with him to correct it? I know it sounds obvious, but is he too lazy or doesn't want to listen?

I felt the comments about Sendlien were especially telling.

Lyle is a great story. A local boy who was signed as an UDFA by a team that had already drafted Alex Stepanovich and Nick Leckey, and signed FA Al Johnson to a big contract, all to play Center.

Now here we are a few years later and Sendlein has started 38 consecutive games including a Super Bowl at Center for his home town team.

Just can't keep those Longhorns down. :D

All the young guys are really untested. It will be interesting in the draft. If there's a stud available he could anchor a decent but not yet solid unit. I'm looking for Minny solid or old Oilers solid....just sayin'. :p It will make everyone on the O better, and prepare us for a season when we can't rely on Warner.

The rest of the draft I'm all about the D

That really bothers me. How does Grimm's pet project since he came to the desert STILL suffering from poor technique?

Damn Mitch, that's pretty much what I stated in another thread just a few days ago about shy Warner would return. Nice. :D
