Just don't see this happening no matter how much money the 9ers throw at him...
The Cards should move to a 2 year, $25 million deal and call it a day!!! Stop the stupid games already....

Kurt with a ball control coach... and Jason Hill, Isaac Bruce, and Brandon Jones... protected by a bad Oline..

Enjoy irrelevancy Kurt if you decide to make such a boneheaded move

Just do not believe Warner, at his age, would be all that successful at the stadium in San Francisco. Too cold and windy. Also, his former drop ball target, Bryant Johnson has purportedly signed with the Lions for three years. Issac Bruce is close to retirement. That leaves Brandon Jones, signed from the Titans, who received about 450 yard last year.

Maybe Singletary and Warner prayed on it and they decided this is God's will.

You want to talk about irrelevancy? THAT"S THE CARDINALS WITH A CAPITOL I.

It took Kurt Warner to lead us out of that.

Some of you freakin' "cards fans" deserve Graves and Bidwill. Honestly.

Thanks. I'm more than happy with them. They've done something no other Cardinal front office has ever come close to doing. They got us into the SB. If we are going to pin all the bad stuff on them, then we also need to give them kudos for the good stuff.

Just keep doing what you've been doing G & B. Let's see if we can't win us a SB in 2010.

Us "Cards Fans" are looking at the big picture here. There are other needs on this team besides QB, which is not even one of our weaknesses even if Kurt were to leave.

Sure lets open up the purse strings for Kurt a 38 year old QB who will eventually start deteriorating as early as next year. Then we can compromise the rest of the team because we have no money to spend on other positions. That's irrelevancy.

Fixed that for you.

Kurt Warner was the beneficiary of an aggressive post season defense, a sick Larry Fitzgerald and an oline that kept him upright and safe for the most part.

This team started improving the day Whis was hired...they are acting like the Steelers throughout, top to bottom. Notice the Steelers aren't overpaying old players, aren't jumping around in free agency, have lost players or are losing them, and are generally taking a slow but steady approach to the offseason.

Wrong. It took Ken Whisenhunt to lead us out of that. Warner was just another in a long line of bumbling, bungling, Cardinal players until KW arrived.

That sounds like 1999 to me...overpaying a QB that didn't deserve the money and watching the rest of the team fall apart.

Looks like we learned from our mistakes as a front office, but some of the fanbase hasn't.

You honestly think we will win a Super Bowl next year without Warner??? I mean we have had MUCH better QB's then Lienart take us no where. Warner stayed in the play till the last second....and threw for 53 td's in a year in a half.....Only done 4 times ever before!!! Mind you....and yet...Lienart can just step in and win?? mmm Kinda like The Patriots....Cassel stepped in and they missed the playoffs....all it takes in losing 1 or 2 games we shouldnt have....Warner is worth 2 or 3 games atleast.

What the heck are you talking about??? Letting Larry Centers go who was the safety valve and HEART of our team was STUPID...and letting Lomas Brown go who anchored our line was even dumber.....They havent learned. KEEP THE PLAYERS WHO GET YOU THERE!

This is deja vu from last year with the Fitzgerald deal. And I would place myself pleased with the end result. I choose not to panic because of many of the same reasons already listed. No need to lose your temper until it is time to lose your temper.

Uhhhh...Cassel stepped in and won more games in the regular season than Warner...In an arguably tougher conference and division. Oh yeah, and he hadn't started a game since high school. Not saying he's better than Warner, just that part of your argument doesn't hold water.

LOL holds plenty since he won 5 less games then BRADY did...was my point.

Check his post again...He's saying that players like Larry and Lomas were let go, because we overpaid for Jake. He thinks the FO has learned their lesson, now, and won't overpay Warner to mortgage the other "core" players on this team.

How many teams have lost a SB, and then the very next season come back and win it?? Do YOU really believe that with Warner, the Cards were a lock to win it??

I am not a Matty fan by any stretch. In fact, I have a great deal of angst knowing that he will one day be our guy... However, I have a ton of faith that Whiz will do what he needs to in order put other pieces around Matty to make up for his deficiencies... like a running game, the loss of JJ not withstanding.... That's for you Donald! ;)

I think that if we have Warner we win 9 to 10 games...Then all we have to do is Fitzify in the playoffs....He gets 4 deep balls a game...and catches 2 to 3 of them we have a 80% of winning...so yes I feel we have a damn good shot to go back next year with Warner....Because OUR core will be pretty much the same. Now if Lienart comes in....We must REBUILD our team...because the last time I checked...96 yds a game running will not do squat...and we are in no position..to all of a sudden become a running team. Lienart makes to many questionable throws to believe he will win us 9 games. Warner has proven it!!!
