Just my guess, Tony Parker was the reason behind the choice between Dragic and Chalmers. Scouting reports saying Dragic is similar to TP in almost everyway, including weaknesses (poor shooting). Chalmers might be a better playmaker, but Dragic would be the ideal matchup against TP.

Just ask Danny Ainge (who has been horrific his entire career at putting a team together via the draft and looking at young talent, unless of course you count evaluating KG and Ray Allen as some kind of talent that Ainge weened from winning titles) or Kevin McHale, who can't do anything to save his life, or Larry Bird with the Pacers or MJ with the Wiz. I mean, those guys should have certainly known NBA talent and knew something about NBA Championships, right? Hold your sarcasm No thanks, it is useful when you disagree with someone.

After 'antoni and his defense approach for 4 years, I am really liking what I read about the abilities of who Kerr has added. We won't know if they work out until they play the season, obviously. So as of right now, no one knows for sure if Kerr is off his rocker, not even you.

A year ago in an international game, Dragic playing for Slovenia supposedly did a great job pressing Parker on the defensive end and got to the basket on the other end.

The Slovenian is slowly turning himself into one of the best defensive players at his position in Europe. He did a tremendous job defending Tony Parker in the Eurobasket, and is continuing his great defensive display in the Euroleague. Goran has great size for a PG (6-foot-4), is athletic, with good lateral quickness, and has excellent defensive fundamentals. He fights through screens despite his slight build, gets into the passing lanes, and is very aggressive with his ability to create extra possessions for his team. The majority of European point guards didn’t succeed in the NBA because of either athletic shortcomings or lack of defensive resilience. Dragic passes the test in both categories and then some.

BTW, it is reasonable to temper expectations for this season from Dragic even if he is in same talent level of Parker and Manu.

nor have I claimed to know, which is why I'm not sky high or down low regarding Dragic. My expectation for him is much like any other 2nd round pick. Very litte, but who knows.

No. But at least the Spanish papers have stopped repeating quotes from more than a month ago.

The local papers have stopped talking about it since the Sporting News article. The last word was that nothing has been agreed upon, but the team remains optimistic. There is no discussion of other PG prospects, limited as that might be.

It is easy to misunderstand sometimes because I thought you were trying to kill Irish, but he seems ok. He is still breathing, I mean posting.

I like that Suns management is adressing it so I guess I'm already sold on Dragic because the clips look ok and I'm desparate.My expectation for him is much like any other 2nd round pick. Very litte, but who knows. I may be in for a big letdown, but I believe in these changes but have no real proof of why.
