That Gremlin Ginobili must have been doing something using his left hand to Barbaso, there is no way Barbosa would retaliate that bad if not, the dude has been knocked down so many times and he has never retaliated, heck i hope he gets angry.

Why? Because you asked for 3 things that happened in Games 1 and 2 which deserved to be looked at by the league. (You are right in this point. There really hasn't be in this series so far.) If you want to look at last year's officiating, you are taking away from your point. Why would you want to do that, when you are making a good point for once....

LOL, I am pointing out the hypocrisy of the fans on this forum.

I don't really think much of what the league does, because I don't ultimately make the call. However, I have to question why people can accept behaviours from their own team, but call it cheap when another team does it.

If I go and say that Barbosa is dirty and deserves a punishment, I would be a hypocrite for defending Bowen for so long, but I didn't. On the other hand, the same people who called for Bowen's head is saying that the whole incident is not the responsibility of Barbosa, but of that of Ginobili, I just can't find anything more hypocrtical than that.

First of all, *Stop responding to Trolls* please.

Second, Shaq hit Ginobili rather hard but when you watch on normal speed, it is clear that Manu and Barbosa are just doing a typical "loose ball struggle." It doesn't take a physicist to realize that Manu was moving back much faster than Shaq's contact would warrant and he took Barbs with him.

There was a Spur that incidentally hit Barbs in the head when going for the ball earlier in the video. Saying Barbs premeditated hitting Manu in the face would be as ridiculous as saying the Spur premeditated hitting Barbs in the head (or less so because the Spur player was not under duress, heading to the ground).

Read: Ginobili is responsible for being fouled.

As an aside, the Raja Bell foul was just a hard foul, a flagrant would not have been necessary but it wouldn't be out of the question. The Horry foul last year was worse because Nash was nowhere near a scoring position on the floor. Regardless, the Horry foul was not the atrocity, the suspensions were. Two players were suspended as the result of a flagrant foul. Neither the Suns nor Horry should have been suspended.

Read: The Spurs were responsible for Stoudemire and Diaw not having the mental capacity to stay on the bench.

Read: Ginobili didn't even have control of the ball when he got hard fouled, but it's OK, because he is just a Spur, not a Sun.

There are hypocrisy of fans in every forum. You aren't proving anything or pointing out things that aren't already common knowledge.

Ooo .... race smack.

I am sure putting out arguments that nobody can answer is giving my race a bad name. Way to go racist. You know what? I once saw this Asian dude, and he did something that made me look like a fool, so I can conclusively say that all Asians are jerks. Is this what you mean?

So the troll card has been used, the race card has been used. Any chance anybody step up and man up to their own hypocrisy?

They are hard fouls. Playoff fouls. Nothing more.

Maybe just maybe.... someday soon BOTH the Suns (players, FO, and fanbase) and Spurs (ditto) will actaully stop whinning and blaming every misfortune on the refs, league, and the opposing teams cheating....

and actually play ball and let the play on the hardwood be the determining factor.

What a novel concept...huh?

I offer a challenge to everyone here.... how about you have a game 3 thread where no talking about the refs is allowed. Just the bball. Could you do it? Im talking to fans of both teams.

I seriously doubt it. *sigh*

Old school players must be sitting on their couches watching these games and all the whining LAUGHING at what wimps players are today.

Man up, stand your ground, stop whining, and play ball!

Because common sense dictates that a player like Barbosa, who is known to lack defensive fundamentals, are trusted with guarding top scorers and PGs closely throghout the game, just like Bowen does.

this sentence makes so little sense that i can't even understand what point you're trying to make enough to begin to think of a counter-argument. please edit and i'll refute your point accordingly.

Barbs wouldn't hurt a fly.

Anyone who thinks he did it on purpose is an idiot. Hence, why the Spurs have to complain about it.

Ouchie sorry but your out of your freakin mind if you think a hard legit foul by Bell on Floppy is even anything close to Horry body checking Nash into a scorers table!

And please don't ignore the circumstances of the fouls as well. At least when Bell did it there was still a chance in a hotly contested game. Horry did his hip check when the game was essentially over.

in Game 4, I believe we were up 4 with about 12 seconds left, right? The Spurs were up 5 with the ball with 14 second left, right? How are the circumstances (not saying the foul necessarily) not exactly the same, if not more so slanted towards SA considering the spurs were actually up more at the same point in the game?

I didn't think too much of it, I don't think it deserves a suspension at all, maybe a tech, and that is probably going a little far.

On the other hand, the end of the game:

I would love to know the reaction of the fans from this.
1) Nash clearly flopped, is that right?
2) What Bell did to Ginobili is pretty much the same as what Horry did to Nash last year. Does Bell deserve a 2-game? Do you see any Spurs players clearing the bench?

1) LOL. So that's what happens when two players perform a flop at the same time. Offensive flop vs defensive flop.
2) Hard fould to stop a penetration on the wing seems out of context to an intentional very hard foul at midcourt to let out your anger after losing a ball game.
I don't see any Spurs players clearing the bench for the same reason I just stated. Bell's foul is not like Horry's foul. And Spurs players obviously can tell the difference. If Bell had fouled like Horry did, we would see some players clearing the bench.

Just watch Ginobili a bit closer after the contact with Nash. It's hillarious. You can clearly see that he still could continue running if he wanted to (didn't lose his balance at all) and than dives to the ground like a soccer player.

I wonder how this conversation went?

NBA Office: Hello, NBA office

Spurs rep: Yes, this is the rep from the San Antonio Spurs. We want to have one of the Phoenix Suns players suspended for being too rough in game two.

NBA Office: Raja Bell?

Spurs rep. No, Leandro Barbosa.

*click*

:lmao:

I don't think Barbosa was trying to hurt anyone. They just got tangled up. Maybe it warranted a personal foul on Barbosa but not a flagrant and certainly not a suspension.
