Heck i would have prefered James Jones instead of Barbaso! Alteast Jame Jones gave us something on D and actually made some plays on offense. Barbs, against the Spurs is so one dimensional! With Duncan gaurding the paint he's basically useless unless he's hitting his shots... which he ain't.

This was quite possibly the worst case scenario for us. Lead the entire game, lose at the end and a lot of mileage for key guys (did Nash sit at all in the 2nd half?).

Taking the suspension out of it, D'Antoni was atrocious down the stretch. No Kurt Thomas, horrible plays on both 3 pt attempts in last 30 seconds, no adjustments to Duncan doubling Nash off the screen and roll over the last three minutes.

We lead the entire game and should've won playing with only 6 guys. Spurs are freaking pathetic......enjoy your tainted victory.

Taking KT out and playing LB has got to be the dumbest coaching decision I've ever seen. This loss is ALL D'Antoni's. STUPID!!!!!!!

While I disagree with the move, this loss is on 2 people: Stu Jackson and "Big *****" David Stern.

Hit below the belt, try to take out someone's Achillies tendon, body check a smaller player out of bounds and you will be rewarded in this league. Are they ever going to call an over the back foul on Duncan? Seriously they gave the Asterisks enough of an advantage as could be by taking two players out before the game and still managed to let Tim Duncan do whatever the hell he wanted. Unreal

I hope Stern enjoyed his Asterisks victory cowering in fear in Cleveland.

I really don't understand Barbs being in there at the end. That's my only gripe. That and DA being a complete and utter idiot playing KT only 12 games in Game 1.

KT could have gaurded TD straight up near the near and thus not have our defenders in a mess trying to cover their shooters, which in the end happened and a poor switch left that ****wit with a conehead Bruce Bowen open.

We averaged 103 ppg through the first 4 games in the series, but only scored 85 tonight. Something to do with the absence of Amare maybe and his 24ppg? The Spurs will make it sound like it didn't matter (Ginobili already said so), but it's just utter complete bs. If we had Amare and Boris this would have been a blowout. But that is just too much to overcome. We tried, but came up short.

is it just me or do the Suns seemingly ALWAYS give up a KILLER three at the end of the biggest games? At that point, KT should have been in there so we wouldn't have had to double.

playing 12 games in game 1 seems like adequate playing time for KT, though those type of minutes are rather heavy.

Well, Marion was a star in the 1st half and didn't make a statement in the 2nd. There's nothing more frustrating with this team than how different the team comes out in the 2nd half.

gotta look to the positives!

We played a great grind out game and almost took it home without two bigs. I loved the energy and to be fair, they lost a lil steam at the end understandibly.

Go to SA focused and play smart Suns ball and we can win it and bring it home for game 7. The pick and roll needs to be run all game long with Amare/KT. All game! Attack the rim. Stoudemire will be wanting to dunk on everybody.

not against the Spurs. 12 minutes is the height of stupidity. he was going NUTS on us in that game. it's no shock that since he came in Duncan's had two relatively quiet games.

I hate to pick on Nash but that was completely his fault. He went into roaming mode to help on Parker and left Bowen wide open. I wish Nash wouldn't do that but it's also the same reason he picked up that offensive foul on Parker a few mins before.

Too emotional. They are the Spurs. TD is going to block shots when Barbs strolls into the lane. He will have to learn to jump into defenders - that is required in this league.

Nash has been brutal all series with that actually. Nash was terrible defensively in game 4 as well (as was Barbosa) and the Spurs got wide open 3's.

note my sarcasm in my previous post. you accidentally said 12 games in game 1 rather than 12 minutes. i was just mocking your mistake :). i know very well that 12 mins in game 1 is stupid.

I'll give DA a pass on not having KT in there down the stretch. If you saw KT's halftime interview, he was grasping for breaths then. The dude played 36 minutes tonight and all of them were exhaustingly intense trying to contain the beast. And Duncan only had 21 points. A very well done job, but I'm sure KT was past spent by the time the last few minutes came. Hell, he may even have told DA as much. I'll reserve judgment for now.

I'm still pretty confident for game 6!

Still can't get over taking KT out! We lead by 8 with 5mins to go 79-71. KT went out and then they went on an 8-0 run to tie it up!

That is almost unforgiveable!!

I just complain about anything in todays game. I mean were fighting an entire army with a slingshot today, and somehow almost did it. Our guys gave everything they had tonight.

And i can actually understand kt out barbs in at the end, on offense we were completly stangnant with kurt/nash just run pick and rolls, and them staying on shooters. Putting marion in the pick with duncan opened things up.

And they were gonna double duncan, anyway w/ kurt or not, so it didnt matter.
