No preview, I am sick of reading anything that talks about the Spurs!

It will take an enormous effort for the Suns to win tonights game, but there is no doubt they can win it. Everyone will have to play well and somehow find the way to score 100 points. Nash, Marion, Bell, & Barbosa are going to have to play 40 minutes of hard basketball for the suns to win.

I think the starting lineup will be,
Nash
Bell
Marion
KT
Junior

And Barbosa off the bench.
I would think that Burke will see some time, and maybe Rose.

One of the keys other than the obvious, are that James Jones needs to come out and hit a couple right away to help spread the floor.

I dig it....It CAN be done.....Burke is in for 6 fouls on Duncan ala "Hack a Shaq"

Nash and Barbosa have to play out of their minds....

Did they say that Marks will suit up for this game? With people suspended, can you have extra players suited up? I don't know that rule off hand.

If so, that is 6 more fouls.

No. I think you have to declare the 12 man roster and it has to take you through the playoffs. I think Jumaine and Marks were left off.

The Suns will have 10 players available tonight. As the rule goes if you have so many suspensions that you can't field 8 players then they stagger the suspensions.

I think we will probably see Banks on Parker at some point because Marion will be needed in the front court.
I guess we could see Rose but his defense is a major liability.

Marks and Jumaine Jones are our 13 and 14th men, so they were obviously not on the playoff roster and cannot be added.

If I were coach, I'd start...

Marcus Banks.

Seriously. He plays pretty decent on ball defense. His decision making on offense is suspect, but he could play Parker much better than Nash will as I see Marion having to guard Elson or Duncan.

You'd still have LB and Jones from the bench with the likelihood Burke would spell KT at times.

Everything is possible, but realistically looking a win tonight looks very bleak. Don't the thugs know it this is their best opportunity? If they take tonight's game, they will try to close out on their home court in game 6 which will be again, not impossible, but will be very difficult to win. Don't expect similar breakdowns from an experienced team like they had last 4 minutes of game 4.

Sorry for the downer but we need to keep our expectations in check for major disappointments.

Barbosa is going to start, I think. That's the best way to take advantage of the Spurs' matchups.

Suns are a 3.5-point dog...they were a 3.5-point favorite yesterday. I'm surprised the line is still so close.

NO!!!! Marion will just foul Duncan on his way to the Hoop...It won't work!
He has to come in late for a block or something. He can't be on Duncan.

So what will be the matchups if Barbosa starts?

KT - Duncan
Marion - Elson
Nash - Bowen
Bell - Finley
Barbosa - Parker

Barbosa has struggled whenever he was put in the starting lineup.

One thing is for sure, we will hardly be seeing the freethrow line today and they most likely will have a march to the freethrow line. I think this game may be over by 3rd quarter.

my call - the Suns start off on fire, keep it even for the first 18 minutes or so and then the adrenaline wears off and the Spurs slowly grind us away to the point that we're down 20 going into the fourth.

i won't watch it. The NBA is dead to me.

BELL- Parker

KT-Duncan
Nash-Bowen
Marion-Parker
JR-Elson
Bell-Finley

Seems more likely to me, since D'Antoni likes Marion on Parker so much.

I'd be fine w/ Banks off the bench to guard Parker in stretches, might as well give it a try. If the Spurs ever go w/ both Vaughn and Parker on the court at the same time, I'd love to see the Suns counter with Nash (on Vaughn) and Banks on Parker. I would be nervous about Banks being in the game w/ out Nash though, it might mean Banks would have to be too much of a PG and could screw things up.

I gotta tell you, it's funny, but it's times like these that I really appreciate being a Cards fan. There's NEVER a level of disappointment with them as there is with the Suns. Sure, there's an entirely different level of amazement, shock and awe at the ridiculous ineptitude that the Cardinals repeatedly demonstrate, but that can be laughed at and mocked. Hell, my favorite shirt is the Cardinals eye crying with the tag "I'm a loser" underneath it.

But this just sucks. I am BEYOND PISSED and seemingly taking it out on anyone and everyone who comes near me. I've been honking at people on the road for not driving 30 miles OVER the speed limit like I am, I EXPLODED at a Ralph's Grocery store worker for not wrapping my chicken wings up properly and apparently woke my roomate (who's still sleeping) slamming doors all over the house. This is not rational behavior. During the pre-game last night on TNT, they started talking about the suspensions and then Kenny pointed out the Duncan on the court thing and I literally started screaming at my roomate louder than at any time the night before.I then stopped and started laughing at myself. Then, I went to go play basketball and absolutely BRUTALIZED one of my best friends, taking out all my aggression on him, as if the Spurs were taking over my body.

i can't watch tonight. I can't watch a game that has already been decided by the league. I will be screaming at EVERY THING - no matter if it's good or bad and I can't put my apartment complex, my roomates or myself through that.

so pissed.

sorry for the rant.

I'm thinking that it's going to be opposite. I think we may have the refs' sympathy.
