Really guys? Come on. He is taking a humorous approach to critiquing someone who obviously didn't pay attention during the movie or lacks a basic understanding of Star Wars. It would be one thing if the original review was just a difference of opinion. One of the things that prompted his "review of the reviewer" is because in many cases above, the guy didn't pay attention. You guys either didn't pick up on that or didn't read the entire thing.

I agree with you that simply because someone didn't like the movie shouldn't prompt vitriol. This CLEARLY is not a case of simple fanboyism. I mean....seriously....they guy didn't pay one lick of attention in the movie then posted a review. Not to mention that Huffingpost.com has another writer who posted another critique of the film and AGAIN clearly didn't pay attention.

I could care less if those two reviewers didn't like the movie. If he was simply ripping someone for not having the same opinion I would be right there with you. However, I am now starting to think those two writers might be the worst in the business if they can't pay attention during a movie they are reviewing. Isn't that their job?

I'd doubt it. Conceptually, the prequels were pretty good. New worlds in every movie, the systematic take down of the republic from
the inside and the fall
Of a hero... But the execution was TERRIBLE. With Awakens I think it was the opposite. Execution was pretty good, but conceptually it was lacking pretty bad for me.

I pretty much agree with you here.

I like George Lucas the visionary & galaxy creator but the dialogue and direction in the prequels was awful...the story probably looked great in an outline and in concept art, then the script was created.

So many people wanted to the prequels to see how Vader became Vader. They wanted to see what the Jedi order looked liked in it's prime. I was sort of "meh" when I heard about them. I was excited for more Star Wars but I always wanted to see what happened after ROTJ more then visit the past. I mean we already know what becomes of Vader. That was enough for me.

The prequels did give us the cool clone wars, some epic duels, some insight into the Empire and gave us some memorable characters. Outside of that? I agree with you all that the execution was flawed. The first was below average, enjoyed the 2nd and liked the 3rd. TFA blows them all away though.

They should have characterized at least one of the clones so you could see that while they look the same and probably have serial numbers for names, they're still human beings. As it was it just looked like a giant cut scene in some video game that I was not playing.

As it was it just looked like a giant cut scene in some video game that I was not playing.

One of my biggest complaints was too that they were all CGI characters. They should have thrown in some live action footage. I agree. To me though the worst CGI job in history was the Gungan/Droid battle. Not only was the CGI sub par IMO but I felt like I was watching a Saturday morning cartoon.

That was all George Lucas. He didn't want kids to see real people being killed in massive numbers. So he made artificial beings (droids) vs. armor-covered people (troopers) to make it more family-friendly.

Yeah, adopting kids really changed the guy, IMHO. Suddenly he felt the need to go make more things softer and friendlier - even through revision. Suddenly, Han can't shoot first. In Lucas' own words, “Han Solo was going to marry Leia, and you look back and say, ‘Should he be a cold-blooded killer?’” Uh..George - killing someone before they can kill you does not make you a cold-blooded killer...and...didn't Leia herself choke an unarmed Jabba the Hutt to death? I think they'd make a great pair based on that alone.

While I agree with you, the "I make these for the kids" kinda goes right out the window when the main character has his legs and arms cut off while his stumps catch fire and his face melts.

Yeah it's "for kids" right. The toy marketing is for kids that's for sure.

Wow...what a a-hat. It would be funny if someone messed with his window decals. Someone did that to a SUV at my kids school that was bad mouthing Obama. It was a few days before they noticed that the word "hate" was replaced with a heart decal and "worst" was replaced with "best". LOL. I just dont get this trait in people.

It's like when people got the spoilers for the last Harry Potter book and then drove around to bookstores at midnight and shouted them out. "Haha look at all these people and these kids all excited for this book, I'm gonna totally ruin this for them! HAHA What fun!" WTH????

I honestly just dont get it. Why is it fun to ruin something that people are into for them? You dont like it thats totally fine, but why do you get joy from crapping all over other peoples interests?

It kindof shakes my faith in humanity. Not just this star wars thing, I just mean people who do that in general. It's just so unnecessarily *******, I dont get it. I dont really like pranks in general, harmless pranks I'm fine with but crap like the kids who are going into grocery stores and chucking milk down the isles. Dude, someone has to clean that up, you know, future you... Or like in Jackass where they put the baby carrier on the roof and then drove off, causing people to panic and risk their lives trying to chase him down to tell him. There's just nothing funny about stuff like that for me.

I just dont get why people think it is funny to make other people feel bad or scared or disappointed. I mean, this dude spent money to ruin this for people. That is bizarre and points to greater issues IMO.

My buddy saw Two Towers long before I knew him, with a different friend. Said he saw it at an early-day viewing, and walked out to see huge lines of people waiting to get in. He has this inner demon he always used to give in to before I knew him, so he shouted "Frodo dies at the end!" Needless to say he had to flee the theater.

He mellowed out before I met him, but he has some very interesting stories.

i did that once when I was like 13 years old when I came out of Robin Hood and said "I can't believe Christian Slater was his brother!" But that was me as a freaking snot nosed kid. Putting that on your car speaks to the guy's mental/state of maturity.

Hey man, don't judge me!

It was Christmas, my wife was sick, then I was sick, and everything's been spoiled (for the most part) already, and I won't go see a movie alone.

Maybe this weekend?
