You know this is Star Wars, right? There has to be something like that in every movie.

They kinda doubled up with the crystal wolves or whatever those thing were on the salt planet in addition to the porgs.

Also, trying to think, but there wasn’t really any furry creatures that just hung around all of Star Wars Or Empire, were there? I know Jedi has the Ewoks and they were annoying but at least they were a major part of the story.

The Porgs were there just to sell toys. Had no bearing on the story at all.

I actually didn't have a problem with the Porgs until they took them off planet on the Falcon. Really?!?

Yeah... that made no sense.

And they didn’t bother me, but they were literally just a way to sell toys.

I read somewhere the porgs were supposed to be an homage to the trouble with tribbles. A homage to Star Trek in a Star Wars movie?!? Wtf?

That pretty sums up the movie for me. Really cool movie but at the same time several WTF moments.

You guys totally missed the point of the Porgs! It was Chewy's evolution into being his own Wookie! He was always Hans sidekick and had to be a man's Wookie. At the moment he was about to eat one, his life forever changed. Now he is the vegan Wookie who protect Porgs! In the next movie, he'll have opened his own Vegan Cantina in Portland Earth. The theme will be the ability to sip coffee with Porgs around.

Finally got around to this movie and was nearly bored to tears until the final act. The lone bright spot is that Ray being a Grey Jedi looks to be a forgone conclusion. But now aside from Chewy and the droids, the entire original cast of characters are now gone(well, Leia is still around technically but the actress is no more so interested in where this is going to go) and it's all on the new cast. I really like the Poe Dameren character but as much as I liked Finn in the last movie, I really hated him in this movie. They made him a clown.

I really liked The Force Awakens, and I think Rogue One might be the best Star Wars movie ever made, so I was really excited for this movie. But like you said they went and turned Finn into a clown and it ruined the whole damn thing for me.

This has to be one of the fastest post-bluray release Honest Trailers ever. They probably had it queued up with cam footage just waiting.

I re-watched this last night. I honestly didn't think it possible but Rian Johnson managed to make Jar Jar Binks more consequential to the saga than Snoke. It almost feels like Trump propping up Bush's approval rating a decade later.

I will say though if you have a Dolby Atmos sound system the FX sound track is one of the best I have heard take advantage of object based sound.

I have tried to re-watch this like 3 times since it's been on Netflix and I cannot get through it again. It is one of my least favorite SW films without question. It's terrible IMO.
