Don't even need 50 yard bombs...if they can't get open, just toss up a few 25-30 yard 50/50 balls to Fitz...if he misses, he can likely draw a PI call...either way it loosens up the defense.

That was a great play by the defender. Completely broke off his assignment to make that play.
Hayden has played great, but if Murray would have waited half a second, he would have had a TD on the Hayden player, that is a rookie mistake.

Agree. But tough in real time and with a sketchy o line who you don't necessarily trust. Jmo.

Certainly not arguing that Kyler did everything he could have, but probably 19 of 20 times that you make that throw the defender stays with his assignment. There is a reason this Pitt defense leads the NFL in takeaways and it is because of guys making great plays just like that.

And he's a rookie playing against the defense that literally leads the NFL in turnovers caused.

yeah but in the next season he will see it and make hayden pay.

But overall, our playcalling is the problem, we don't try bombs or real deep routes and without that, they can abbandon theire WR/TE if they go deep.

Guys, Murray isn’t a bad QB. He’s also not the superstar, transcendent phenom people pumped him up to be in the preseason. He’s middle-of-the-road. He will get better, but he has to be considerably better than he is to justify the sacrifice that was made to get him here

Soft zones, no one in the middle of the field - Remember plays like the last few when they start saying it's the players and execution.
